Page 10 of Rattler’s Revelation (Demon Dawgs MC: Las Vegas #6)

I pocket my phone and focus my attention on the hallway as I wait for Bianca’s return.

She isn’t likely to be happy with me for calling Rattler to meet us here, but she needs to face up to whatever drove her out of the clubhouse.

She may be reluctant to tell me, so Rattler will have to drag it out of her.

I’m walking a fine line here, but if I want to accomplish my goal, I need Bianca and Rattler to stick together.

Bianca exits the hallway and sends me a sheepish smile as she wanders through the tables until she reaches our booth. As she slides in, I hear the distinct roar of a motorcycle coming closer. Bianca doesn’t seem to notice. Good. I’m not sure how she’ll react when Rattler arrives.

“I’m sorry,” Bianca says softly. “I feel foolish about leaving the clubhouse now that I’ve had time to think about what happened.”

I want her to tell me what happened, but it can wait until Rattler joins us. “You have the right to feel what you feel,” I tell her. “If you didn’t feel comfortable at the clubhouse and needed some time away, you don’t need to apologize.”

“I should have stayed and spoken with Rattler. He’s been nothing but kind to me, but after what Jasmine said…” she trails off.

“You can tell him now,” I say as Rattler pulls up outside the diner.

Bianca’s eyes go wide as she turns an accusatory look at me.

I hold my hands up to stop her complaint.

“It’s obvious you didn’t want to talk to me about what happened, and I figured it was really Rattler you should be speaking with, so I called him.

He’s a good guy, you should trust him to do the right thing. ”

Bianca frowns at me before she trains her eyes on Rattler and watches him walk inside the diner. I have my back to him, so I don’t see his expression until he slides in next to Bianca.

“What happened? Why did you leave? Why did you call him? I know he took your fingerprints last night, so don’t tell me that’s why he picked you up. Do you know how frightened I was when I found you’d left?”

I chuckle, which has them both glaring at me. “Bianca can’t answer your questions if you keep firing questions. Give her a chance to explain.”

The exasperated expression on Rattler’s face has me grinning, but he returns his attention to Bianca and waits quietly for her to speak.

“I’m sorry I left. I should have waited and spoken to you, but I was too upset,” Bianca says.

“Why were you upset? Who upset you?” Rattler asks as I roll my eyes. The man can’t seem to help himself from firing off multiple questions instead of limiting himself to one.

“Jasmine,” Bianca says.

“Is she the girl who came over to our table last night?” I ask. Bianca nods.

I sit back and search Rattler’s expression for a sign of guilt or understanding. Is Jasmine the person who upset Bianca, or is he the source? Had something happened between Rattler and Jasmine? Something that made Bianca want to flee the clubhouse? Unlike Rattler, I keep my questions to myself.

“What did she do?” Rattler asks.

Bianca’s expression would be comical if she didn’t look as if she were trying hard not to cry. “She told me what happened after you left my room last night.”

Rattler still looks confused, so I reach over and lay a finger on Bianca’s clenched fist. “Sweetheart, you need to tell us everything, or we can’t fix it.”

Rattler frowns at me, but returns his attention to Bianca. “He’s right. We need to know what she said or did. I’m not happy with her at the moment. When I went to change this morning, I found her in my bed without my permission.”

His comment has Bianca’s eyes widening as she looks between Rattler and me. “You didn’t have sex with her this morning?”

Rattler looks as disgusted as I feel. “No! Why would you think that?”

“She was changing the sheets on your bed this morning when I went looking for you. She said you had sex after I fell asleep,” Bianca says.

“I figured you only stayed with me long enough for me to fall asleep and then went back to your room. She said that all the men make use of the Bunnies, even the men who have Old Ladies. That they wait until their women are asleep and then come looking for action.”

Rattler bursts out laughing, causing Bianca to jolt and me to scowl at him. Rattler reaches over to grasp her hand as he tries to control himself, but he’s laughing so hard, I think he’s likely to hurt himself. If he doesn’t stop laughing soon, I might have to hurt him.

“I’m sorry,” he says as he wipes a tear from under his eye and gets a look at the anger on Bianca’s face.

“Don’t be mad. I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing at the ridiculousness of her assertion.

Jasmine is a bitch. She’s been a Kutte Bunny since before Alisa arrived and stole Puma’s heart.

Since then, she’s watched Wildcard and Dice also find women.

She knows what will happen once all the single guys find their ride or die.

She told you that shit because she wanted you to leave the clubhouse. ”

“And she got her wish,” Bianca mutters. “Are you certain the Puma, Wildcard, and Dice aren’t hooking up with the Bunnies?”

“I’m positive. I know you don’t know Dice very well and Wildcard just hooked up with Brigit, but you’ve been around Puma enough to know he’d never cheat on Alisa. He adores her.”

Bianca nods slowly. “I didn’t immediately believe her, but she was changing the sheets on your bed. You told me you had just moved into that room. Why would you need the sheets changed so soon?”

Rattler’s cheeks pinken, which I find amusing. How often does a big, bad biker blush? “She has a good question,” I grin. “Did you roll around in mud before going to bed?”

Rattler rolls his eyes. “I haven’t slept in that bed, not yet.

I slept with Bianca because she was scared to sleep alone,” he tells me before turning his attention back to Bianca.

“When I went to my room this morning to change, I found Jasmine had slept in my bed. I ordered her to change the sheets because I didn’t want to smell her on them. ”

Now it’s Bianca’s turn to blush. “I’m such an idiot.”

“No, you’re not,” Rattler and I tell her together.

“Jasmine told you those things because she knows you’re new to the clubhouse and don’t know the truth.

She’s been around long enough to know that women who are new to the biker world have likely watched shows like Sons of Anarchy or read about the biker life in romance novels.

Most of those portray a patriarchal society where the women are objects and nothing more.

It’s easy to assume the guys all make use of the Bunnies, even the guys with women.

I can promise you that Puma would throw himself off the roof of the building before he cheated on Alisa.

He adores her. The same goes for Dice with Avery and Wildcard with Brigit.

Hell, Viper and Chill are the same. They’d never hook up with other guys. ”

“Have you been with Jasmine? Is that why she’s so territorial?” I ask him.

Rattler’s look of disgust is so intense that I have to smirk.

“I’ve never liked her. Some of the other Bunnies are good girls.

A few are in college. They live with us so that they don’t have to spend money on rent.

Some live at the clubhouse because they feel safer with us than living alone.

All of them know and understand the score.

They clean up after the guys and offer sex to the single guys.

They know if they hit on the committed men, they’re out.

They have to watch themselves, especially around the kids.

Most get it and don’t cause problems. Jasmine is always pushing the limits. ”

“Are you going to talk to Puma about kicking her out?” I ask Rattler.

Rattler nods just as his phone rings. He pulls it out of his kutte and checks the display. “It’s Puma. I need to get it.” Standing Rattler goes outside.

“Feeling better?”

She nods. “I feel like a fool. I should have waited and talked to Rattler.”

“I’m glad you called me. It was good seeing you again. I don’t want you to hesitate to call me if you need me in the future. Even if you just want to talk.”

She gives me a speculative look, and I know she wants to ask me something, but is hesitant to do so.

“You can ask me anything,” I assure her.

“I can’t figure you out. Sometimes I think you’re attracted to me, but then you do this.”

“This?”

“You called Rattler to come down here so we could talk it through. I feel like you’re pulling me towards yourself while at the same time pushing me towards Rattler. What are you trying to do here?”

I study her face for a long moment before I lay it all out.
