Chapter 16

Caleb

C aleb had lost track of how many times they’d fucked. Jasper hadn’t been kidding; as long as Caleb had the strength to keep going, Jasper could get him up. Hell, he imagined that Jasper could get him up even if he didn’t, but fortunately, his little incubus was one of the good guys.

The result had been a dozen or more meals, since he was feeding both himself and Jasper, who took from him. As long as his stomach didn’t explode, it was an excellent answer to everyone’s problems.

Heck, it wasn’t like Caleb minded eating a little more than usual. It helped a lot that the sex was better than any he’d had before. He’d just never thought the phrase “feeding him my cock” would be quite so on the nose.

“You can stop if you want, you know,” Jasper told him with a chuckle as he poured macaroni and cheese into a bowl.

Caleb grinned back at him, then turned to the sink and rinsed out the pan before setting it in the dishwasher. “You kidding? How often does a guy get an excuse to eat ten thousand calories in a day?”

Jasper’s chuckle turned into a full-blown laugh. He turned to dig through the fridge, pulling out a fresh bag of carrot sticks and holding them out. “At least have something vaguely healthy along with your bowl of heart disease.”

He grabbed a handful of them and added them to a plate of crackers he’d been munching on while cooking, then shoved one into his mouth, crunching down. “Are you sure you don’t need anything?”

Jasper blushed and shook his head. He’d put his hair up to keep it out of the way for the most spectacular blowjob Caleb had ever gotten, but since their last round, drifting locks of light blond had come free and brushed his cheeks. Caleb didn’t hesitate to brush one behind his ear just to feel the warmth of that flushed cheek.

“I, um, don’t really need to eat anything,” Jasper admitted.

“So I bought you all those cookies and didn’t get to eat any, for no reason?” He stuck out his lip in a parody of a pout. “At least leave me one next time?”

Jasper’s smile went soft, and he nodded. His words belied the softness though. “One it is.”

He squealed in delight when Caleb jumped up from his seat at the counter and chased him over to the bed, tickling his ribs until he threw up his hands in supplication. “Fine, fine, you win!”

Caleb pulled back and looked at him, waiting.

“You can have two.” He laughed maniacally when Caleb reached in to tickle him some more.

“I’ll give you two cookies, you little monster.”

By the time he got back to his macaroni, he needed to put it in the microwave to reheat it. Microwaved macaroni wasn’t his favorite thing, but it didn’t matter so much when Jasper sat on his lap while he ate it.

It probably made Caleb weak or soft, that his favorite position of the day was their last. Precisely the way they’d been sleeping for the whole week, they lay on their sides, Jasper in front of him, ass pressed into Caleb’s groin.

Just, this time, Caleb was lazily fucking him as they did so.

He thought Jasper was half asleep, so he slowed his strokes. He didn’t really need to get off again. It had been more than half a dozen times when he lost count, and he was only still going for Jasper’s sake.

Just as he stopped altogether, Jasper made a weak noise of protest. “M’not asleep.”

“You sure?” he asked.

Jasper gave a huge yawn, but nodded anyway and mumbled, “More.”

So he lay there, one arm wrapped around Jasper’s slender chest, sliding into him over and over, murmuring softly in his ear. “Do you have any idea how beautiful you are like this? How perfect?”

That earned him a sleepy smile, and Jasper turned his head to look at him. “Me? Dunno how you can say that when you’re all... you-y.”

“Me-y?”

With some difficulty, Jasper got his arm out from under himself and twisted it around to cup Caleb’s cheek, then card softly through his beard. “You-y,” he affirmed. “In the manner of being you, or something like that.”

Caleb slid the arm he had wrapped around Jasper’s chest up to caress his cheek and turn it that extra inch toward him, and pushed their lips together.

“Not sure how I made it through before I had you here to define these things for me.”

Jasper slitted one eye open, unimpressed. “Easy. You just didn’t know what things meant then.”

On that, they could entirely agree.

“Maybe not.” Caleb leaned in to capture his lips again. “Probably not.”

“Definitely not. You know that one, right?”

“There’s another one you taught me,” Caleb told him, keeping his tone light and playful.

Jasper opened the other eye, expression dubious, but willing to listen. “What’s that?”

Caleb slid deep inside him, pressing one last kiss to his lips as he came. After the wildness of the whole day, it wasn’t an electric thing, but a soft one, just like the kiss. He closed his eyes and pressed their cheeks together, whispering, “I love you.”

Jasper’s breath caught for a moment, then he let out a broken whimper, tightening his grip on Caleb and whispering, “I love you too.”
