“Did you know there were cameras all throughout the clubhouse?” he asked Sarah, who suddenly looked stricken.

Face pale, eyes wide, she cocked her head and replied, “So what if there are? What does that matter?”

Ooooo, was that fear Em heard in the skanks voice?

“It matters that those cameras are rolling, twenty-four, seven, catching all the angles, all the nooks and crannies, every entrance and exit, every doorway—everything. There isn’t an inch of that compound that isn’t covered by a camera monitored by me and one of my programs.

“So, color me surprised when I discovered that someone had been sneaking around sticking their noses where they don’t belong,” Redtube drawled menacingly, his large frame vibrating with leashed anger.

Sarah’s haughtiness slipped, but that didn’t diminish the crazy that was steadily growing in her eyes.

“W-what are you talking about?” she asked, her voice sharp.

She crossed her arms over her chest, and looked from Red to Frost, like Frost would step in a help her.

“He’s talking about the fact that you’re a Mad Dog spy, and you thought you could come to my house, my club, and do his bidding without anyone the wiser,” Frost declared, his voice like ice. Cold. Hard. Unyielding. “Let’s talk about how you were ordered to get close to me and distract me so that I couldn’t look deeper into the shit Mad Dog had brewing in Erie, shit that could get time added to his sentence if he was convicted.”

Sarah was shaking her head, her lips parted in shock and terror.

“No, that’s not true! I hate Mad Dog—he was crazy, which was why I wanted to come to the Unchained and get away from him.” She swallowed visibly, and shifted on her feet. Her gaze flicked from person to person, as though she finally realized she was the center of a circle of pain. Her gaze eventually landed on Frost, her eyes pleading. “Frost, baby, you know that isn’t true. I love you, you know that, and I know you love me. That’s why we got along so well, that’s why you made love to me, and that’s why you took me to that spot under the tree with the heart on the trunk. You want me, you want to ditch the fat hag and have me as your old lady.”

Every word out of Sarah’s mouth sounded more and more unhinged…and Em was starting to believe that Frost had been telling the truth all along; Sarah lied, manipulated, and she was good at it. So good she could twist a married man around her little finger without him seeing the truth.

Her voice stronger than she was feeling, Emily inquired, “Are the cameras how you figured out how she knew about…uh, Frost’s body modifications?”

“What modifications?” both Cilla and Val asked at the same time.

Frost grunted, pinning Emily with a look that said,I’m gonna make you pay for this.

She shuddered at that look, because it typically preceded hard, loud, sweaty sex.

Her favorite kind.

However, right then wasn’t the time to be thinking about that, so she prayed to God everyone though her perky nipples were because of the temperature in the room.

Frost’s smirk told her that God hadn’t answered that prayer…and so did Val’s knowing, mirthful expression.

Dammit!

Red nodded. “One night, after he got drunk at the bar, he went to bed—alone—and she followed him about fifteen minutes later. By then, he was knocked out, probably naked as a newborn baby, and unaware that a creeper was coming through the door.”

Sarah gasped. “He invited me up, and so I went!”

Redtube growled. “Unless the prez has something to say about his lack of stamina—” Frost growled, giving Red the bird—“I’d say that the ten minutes you were in there were spent taking pictures of him, and taking note of anything that you can use to force a wedge between him and his wife.”

Huffing, Sarah threw her arms in the air. “He didn’t need my help with that—she was already on her way out when I got here. It isn’t my fault that he lost interest in her fat ass, and that I snagged his attention.”

“It doesn’t take a genius to know you wanted to get Frost wrapped around your finger, distract him with marital problems, and use those same issues to get in deeper with him. You were probably counting on Frost being a cheater, because then you could climb into his bed, initiate some pillow talk, and get Frost to do whatever you wanted…including stopping the patch over with the remaining Bone Dogz members.”

Cilla piped up, “You didn’t count on Frost being a loyal man, especially to his wife.”

Lord, that hit harder than anything Em heard that day.

Frost…a loyal man.

And he was…he just lost his way. Just like she had.

But he still has a lot to answer for.
