“Almost there. They got caught up in some traffic. Pesky stop lights causing all sorts of havoc.” I held back a smile. Ciel was trying to buy us time. “You have to leave. Now.”
“The rest of this place is empty,” Cas announced, breathing heavily. A sheet of sweat covered his forehead. “Tons of drugs, but looks like the South Americans wrecked the equipment. If any left, they’ve already gotten out through the back door.”
“All right, let’s get back to the car,” I said. My chest throbbed, but I just needed some bandages.
We ran back the way we came, got in the SUV, and peeled out just when the cops were turning onto the street.
“I’ll wipe your traces from the other security cameras in the area,” Ciel said. “Looks like, for now, you can head back to the penthouse. Cops aren’t following you.”
Law enforcement would have more than enough to deal with inside that business.
“Where’s Makarov?”
“Got hung up,” Ciel responded. “Two of his other businesses got hit at the same time.”
I glanced at Cas and the way he favored his injured arm. “Does he need any more help?”
“I’m not sure. I don’t have eyes, but I know he’s at this location.” My phone dinged with the coordinates.
Cas raised an eyebrow. He might be in pain, but his eyes also shined. He enjoyed the fight. “We should check it out. Because of the alliance and all.”
I grinned. Neither of us wanted to sit at the penthouse to think about Leona’s marriage or the fact she was hundreds of miles away. A hunt with the Russians sounded much better.
“Heading there now.”

LEONA
As soon as we stumbled into Ryuji and Obi’s hotel suite, Ryu had his hands all the way up my shirt. My arms locked around his neck, panties already soaked from the makeout session in the back of the SUV.
Obi followed behind us, closing the door, and dropping the keys on the countertop. We locked eyes, his gaze turning molten, as he stripped off his jacket while Ryu sucked on my neck.
A shiver ran down my spine.
We had secured the deal with Kofler. I had stolen Max’s gun-selling route right from underneath him. It was only a matter of time before he felt the effects of that and his hold on my future empire weakened.
The plan was working. This was possible.
Slowly, surely, I could do this. I could be the leader they deserved. I could build myownempire. With these guys beside me, anything was possible.
I felt like a fucking badass bitch.
And now, one of the hottest men I’d ever met was peeling the clothes from my skin while another leaned against the counter and watched. Those eyes, and the way they were locked on my every move, electrified my body like a physical caress.
“Ryu,” I rasped, grabbing his face, and crashing my lips against his.
Everything felt hazy.Heated. The power swirling in my gut made my head foggy.
Ineededmore.
“Fuck, sweetheart. You were so sexy tonight. Watching you make that deal.God, it set me on fire to see you command that room. I could barely think straight,” Ryu murmured against my lips. He groaned, his tongue darting in my mouth, then he nipped my lower lip. “Give me your phone.”
I pulled back with a frown. “What?”
“Phone.” He held out his hand, breath uneven, and eyes wild. “I’m not getting interrupted again. No fucking way. Give it.”
Hesitantly, I pulled it from my back pocket. There were no new messages. I placed it in his hand. “What if something happens?”
