I was again filled with annoyance that Iwasn’tin her room andwasn’tbetween her legs.
“You guys ready?” she asked, stepping into our room, and glancing around. “Nice room.”
I glared at Obi, but he rolled his eyes.
“Yes,” Obi responded, glancing at his watch. “We are right on time.”
Business, first. Then, back to the room.
She would not sleep tonight until I was done with her.

RYUJI
We pulled into the agreed upon location five minutes before the meeting time.
“Think Kofler will go for this?” Leona asked, her finger absentmindedly swirling the hair at the end of her braid. Kofler was a well-known European who made a name for himself over the last fifteen years as a cutthroat businessman. I’d never personally met him, but Obi and I had both heard his name before. He was infamous on the West Coast.
“It is a risk for him, but without risk, there is no reward,” Obi told her. “You must present strength. Ryu and I will be right behind you.”
If this didn’t go well, we could almost guarantee he’d snitch to Volpe about our business, and then Volpe would be able to guess what we were doing.
“Should you lead the conversation?” Her eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, where Obi watched her carefully. “Maybe he’d take us more seriously.”
Obi opened his mouth, but I interrupted him.
“No,” I said firmly. Ihatedhow she’d started to defer to him. Like I told her before, if she wanted to be a queen, then she needed to act like one. “You are in charge of this.”
Leona nodded, eyes steely and hard. She pulled out her deep red lipstick from a hidden pocket inside her jacket and brushed it over her lips with apop.
What would a ring of her red lipstick look like around my cock?
Fuck,I wanted to smudge her makeup. Wrap her hair around my wrist while I thrust into her sweet pussy from behind and make that sharp eyeliner run down her face.
“Look okay?” she asked.
She looked more than okay. She looked fuckingpowerful.
“Deadly,” I said with a wink.
We slipped from the car, both Obi and I keeping a careful watch on our surroundings. We were armed to the fucking teeth, and the vehicle held an extra stash of weapons—including my .50 caliber sniper rifle—should we need them.
The dealer waited in the middle of an abandoned warehouse in the south of the city. The corrugated roof had rusted and collapsed. Oil drums were scattered under places where the roof was still intact, covered in soot like they were used for makeshift fires. A homeless encampment had settled down the street, but even they gave this place a wide berth. I kicked an empty can of tuna across the gravel before it pinged into some scrap metal.
Kofler stood with three men next to one of the burned-out oil drums, but I raised my eyebrow at Obi. By now, Kofler had to have heard the rumors that Leona Vero partnered with the Shadows. And he only brought three men with him?
Obi smirked slightly, a silent agreement that they stood no chance against us.
“Kofler,” Leona said as we walked up to them. Whatever anxiousness she held in the car had melted to unveil a sexy swing of her hips and her head held high. She looked like a goddess.
“Vero?” He shoved his hands in his pockets. The European was in his forties, at least, already with gray peppering throughhis hair. But beneath his jacket, I could make out an outline of two guns. The men behind him were each armed with at least one.
“Pleasure to meet you. These are my men.” She gestured to Obi and me, flanking each of her sides. She didn’t introduce us further. If he’d done his research, he’d know who we were. “I believe you knew my father.”
The man nodded. “My biggest client before Volpe took over. Volpe isstillmy biggest client.” He looked down his crooked nose at her. “What do you want with this meeting?”
“I want your business.” She held her head high. “Buy guns from me instead of Max Volpe.”
