“Take off the suit,” I directed softly, unbuttoning it and helping him get out. I wanted to see him, to feel him under my fingers.
Kareem smirked that same sexy grin I’d managed to get wet just thinking about. “As you wish, shawty.”
Slowly, seductively, Kareem stripped off the suit, revealing his tatted, muscular body that made my heart skip a beat. His toned abs rippled in the dim light from the Christmas tree as he let the last piece of fabric fall to the floor. Naked and exposed, we stood there breathless for a moment, our eyes locked in a wordless exchange of lust and desire.
“Damn, you’re just about the finest Santa I’ve ever seen.” I giggled, tracing the lines of his muscles.
“Better be the only fuckin’ Santa you’ve ever seen.”
I leaned up and kissed him intensely. “Of course. I must say . . . this was the best Christmas gift I’ve ever gotten.”
“Only the best for my shawty.”
An hourafter our spontaneous sex session, I was in the kitchen putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Kareem was on the couch with Butta curled up beside him, keeping my spot warm whilethey watched some holiday baking show because it was what I was in the mood for.
“Question,” I said from the kitchen as I closed the dishwasher.
“Wassup?”
“What made you want to dress up as Santa for me?”
“I’m a Gemini, shawty, which means I’m bipolar, and I’m freaky. I wanted to spice shit up for the holidays.”
“It was giving methis is something I’ve never done beforevibes,” I commented with a giggle.
“It was my first and probably my last damn time too, so your ass better had enjoyed it,” he stated. “I ain’t hear you complaining.”
“That’s the last thing you’ll hear from me after what you delivered today. The D was chef’s kiss,” I complimented.
He took a bow from the couch. “You’re welcome.”
“So . . . my sister will be here on Christmas Eve,” I acknowledged, changing the subject. “You ready to meet her? She can be . . . dramatic. But she’s also one of my best friends.”
“I’m not scared if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Good, because she’s gonna wanna kill me when she finds out I’ve been hiding a whole baby from her for all these months. Hopefully, she’ll be so overwhelmed with tears that she won’t wanna square up in the airport,” I responded with a sigh.
“You think she’ll trip about the baby?”
“Not as much as I think she’ll trip about you.”
He chuckled, then nodded.
There was a brief pause before I spoke. “It’s not like Idon’twant you to meet her. But . . . I’m also jumping out of my skin about it.”
“Because I’m technically not supposed to exist?”
“Because you’re . . . complicated,” I said, trying to soften the narrative around him.
Kareem shrugged with that Gemini swagger that somehow made me want to scream and clench my thighs at the same time.
“I’ll be on my best behavior, shawty. Scouts honor.”
I rolled my eyes before laughing. And for a moment, the butterflies in my stomach faded away. “Nigga, you know damn well you weren’t a Boy Scout.”
“So what? You know what I meant. I’ll be cool. She’ll love me just like you do.”
“Not more than she’ll love the custom auntie starter kit I ordered her from Etsy. She’s gonna shit herself.”
