Beau

O nce inside his cabin, Beau led Marissa into the room. As the door thumped shut, he paused just shy of the bed. “I want to take a moment to appreciate you.”

A flash of pink on her cheeks accompanied the brief nervous chuckle that escaped her lips as she dipped her chin and averted her gaze. He adored how she responded to his compliments. She didn’t demand or expect them. Marissa accepted them with a cute little blush.

Humbleness looked good on her. It brought out her eyes.

Slowly, he circled, drinking her in. The soft curls had fallen from her hair, returning it to its pencil-straight state. Her makeup was slightly smudged, and her skin glistened with a bit of a sweaty sheen. It made her glow.

He approached her from behind, took hold of the zipper of her dress, and leaned in as he slid it down slowly. “Never doubt that you are gorgeous.”

She fondled her earring on the opposite side of him as he kissed her shoulder and neck softly.

“You’re not too shabby yourself,” she said.

He sniggered and wrapped his arms around her. Taking hold of her belt, he asked, “May I see all of you?”

Because they’d been intimate before and she’d come back to his room didn’t mean he had permission to do much of anything. Besides, there was something about a woman confirming her desire for him that made things that much hotter.

Her chest rose as she inhaled deeply. “Yes,” she whispered.

With little effort to undo the clasp, the thick elastic circling her waist fell away as he nipped at her earlobe. He hooked his fingers beneath the thick straps over her shoulders. With the slightest nudge, the cloth slid down, and her dress fell in a pool at her feet.

He ran his teeth against her skin along her collarbone, and she moaned. His cock thickened with the sound. She was insanely responsive, and he wanted to savor it. There was no need to rush. They had all night, and he intended to use every hour, minute, second appreciating her.

After undoing her bra, he reached around, cupped her breasts with a gentle squeeze, and removed the supportive garment. Leaning in, he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, committing the scent of her perfume, and probably some hairspray, to memory. She smelled divine.

The way her soft body fit against his, the heat of her—everything about this moment was perfect. Marissa was a gift.

Rounding her, Beau drank in all of her features—the earrings she wore, the way her hair slipped out of the tie which had held it in, the shimmer on her cheek, the smudged eyeliner and mascara. She was beautiful in the imperfections—genuine and honest.

His heart swelled when he faced her fully. Slowly, he brought his hands to her cheeks and used the pads of his thumbs to softly swipe at her skin. A smile spread across his lips as he looked deep into her eyes.

Because of their height difference, she tilted her head upward slightly and peered at him through her lashes. Her eyes contained a purity that pulled at his soul.

For a moment, the two of them stood in silence.

Her hands skimmed up his chest and rested on his shoulders while he held her face—memorizing every crease and freckle.

He cocked his head to the side, appreciating her visage, before he slowly stooped ever so slightly and covered her tempting mouth with his and closed his eyes.

Taking his time, he kissed her with the sweetness of two lovers about to be separated by war.

His tongue tangled with hers as he deepened their connection.

His chest pressed against hers, and his arms circled around her as he hugged her tight against him.

If he could, he’d hold her like this for the next six months, six years, six decades. It would never be enough.

His fingers trailed down her sides and over her hips.

He hooked them into her panties and broke their contact.

As he lowered to his knee, he kissed the tops of her breasts, nipples, and the softness of her stomach.

Beau wanted Marissa to feel worshipped by the time she fell asleep.

He intended to show her how a goddess like herself should be treated.

Kneeling at her feet, he gazed upward upon her and grinned as she combed her fingers through his hair. The scent of her arousal filled his nostrils. But he wouldn’t go there just yet. All of her needed his attention.

He pressed his lips to one of her thighs.

Trailing kisses, he worked his way down her body until he reached the top of her foot.

He ensured each one got equal treatment as he assisted her in stepping out of one shoe and then the other.

Once he stowed them away, he lavished his affections up her previously unworshipped leg.

“Why are you teasing me?” she whimpered.

Sitting back on his heels, he returned to peering up at her. “What do you mean?”

“All of this slow touching and kissing, it’s driving me crazy.” The blush had returned to her cheeks.

“You don’t like it?” The last thing he wanted was to do something she wasn’t enjoying.

“No.” She chewed on her bottom lip. “I do. I just—”

Beau grinned. “Are you in a hurry?”

She shook her head. “No.”

He could feel her mood shifting to nervousness, so he skimmed his fingers over her hips and gripped her ass firmly. “I am committing you to memory.”

“What?” She laughed.

“No matter how things go when we leave the boat tomorrow, I want to make sure I have appreciated every inch of you.”

“Oh my God.” She covered her mouth and turned away from him, but he could see that her cheeks had gone from a slight pinkish hue to full-on crimson.

It was absolutely adorable.

Returning to his feet, he curled his finger under her chin and guided her to meet his eyes. “Lie back and enjoy.”
