A s we walked towards the elevator, I put my hand around her waist…
And felt the delicious curve of her hip beneath her skirt.
“Handsy, aren’t we,” she purred.
“I’m about to be a lot more than that,” I said.
One of the elevator doors opened as soon as we reached it.
An Asian couple walked out. After they were gone, I pulled Sofia inside.
“Your place or mine?” I asked, then said playfully, “Wait, I don’t have a room yet – so I guess it has to be yours.”
“I guess so,” she said with a Very funny kind of smirk. “Fortieth floor.”
I selected ‘40’ and then hit the ‘Close Door’ button –
But a couple of Asian men were walking quickly towards us. One called out in Chinese.
I don’t speak a whit of Mandarin, but I knew he was asking me to hold the door for them.
“So sorry! No more room!” I called, putting one hand out to stop them.
They frowned. Maybe they didn’t speak English – or maybe they were just like, Fuck you!
Either way, my gesture didn’t deter them at all. Now they started jogging.
Thinking fast, I dug in my pocket for a couple of poker chips.
I’d had a beautiful woman ready to go to bed with me; rather than spend precious time cashing in my chips, I’d just shoved them into my pockets.
“Here you go – so sorry!” I yelled as I tossed the coins out at them.
Shocked, they scrambled to catch the poker chips.
By the time they had them in hand, the doors were closed.
“You did that just so we have the elevator to ourselves?” she asked in amazement.
“Of course – because otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to do this.”
I cupped her face with my hands… bent down… and kissed her.
Madonn…
Her lips were so soft and warm.
She was tentative at first – like she didn’t have much experience –
But what she lacked in experience, she gradually made up for in enthusiasm.
Her glasses were in the way, so I stopped just long enough to remove them.
“Hey,” she protested –
And then I kissed her again.
She stopped protesting.
I grabbed her ass and pulled her into me…
She opened her mouth…
And we French-kissed until the elevator dinged! and came to a stop.
I broke off, grabbed her hand, and pulled her out into the hallway.
As we walked, she said, “Glasses,” and held out her other hand.
“Why? Everything else is coming off in just a few minutes,” I teased.
“Glasses,” she demanded.
I chuckled and put them into her outstretched hand. “Where are we going?”
“Room 4010.”
“Alright, let’s – ”
Suddenly, she pulled on my hand, stopping me –
And kissed me passionately.
I cupped her ass in my hands, feeling her curves –
And then my phone vibrated.
Two short buzzes, followed by two more.
Roberto’s special ringtone.
“Shit,” I groaned.
“What?” she asked in alarm.
I couldn’t shirk my duties as consigliere just because I was about to get laid –
Even with a woman who turned me on more than any other I’d been with.
“One second,” I said as I pulled out my phone.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” she said angrily.
“Duty calls, bella.”
I opened the lock screen and looked at the message.
Meeting’s over. We’re coming to the El Dorado.
“Fuck,” I hissed.
“What?” she asked, back to alarm.
“My brother’s heading here right now,” I muttered.
If Roberto didn’t give me any news, it was because there was nothing good to report.
Or maybe it was because someone was with him, limiting his ability to be candid.
‘We’? I texted back.
Han is coming, too .
The tall psychopath from the airport.
Lovely, I typed, then paused without sending it.
I looked up from my phone at Sofia, who was glaring at me.
“You’re not going to meet him right now… are you?!” she asked incredulously.
“He can’t know about you and me.”
She smirked. “So even your twin brother doesn’t know about me?”
“I don’t think he would approve,” I said sardonically.
Just past Sofia, there was a framed poster on the wall of a succulent filet mignon. There was text next to it in both English and Chinese.
Best Surf ‘n Turf in Macau! Cabana Steakhouse – Main Floor of the El Dorado!
Thinking fast, I continued my text.
I just started eating, but you and Mr. Han are welcome to join me when you arrive.
Sofia turned and saw the poster.
“Oh, no,” she groaned.
“Like I said, they can’t know about you.”
“‘They’?”
“He’s coming with an associate of his.”
“Wonderful,” she griped.
Another text came through from Roberto. Where are you?
I glanced at the poster again, then texted back, A steakhouse called Cabana on the main floor of the El Dorado.
He replied, See you there.
“I apologize profusely, but I have to go,” I said.
“You motherfucker,” she said, though her tone was humorous.
“Why – are you a mother? Because I’ll definitely fuck you later,” I said mischievously.
She glared at me. “Don’t bother.”
Without warning, I grabbed her and kissed her passionately.
She mmphed and struggled for a second –
But then she gave in.
After a few more seconds, I pulled away. “I’ll make it up to you, I swear. Just let me get rid of them, and I’ll come right back. It won’t take more than an hour.”
She glared at me again. “You better make it up to me.”
I grinned. “I will. I swear on my brothers’ lives.”
She gave me the tiniest smile. “Okay… now you’re obligated.”
I kissed her again – but tenderly this time. “It’s a date.”
“Hm,” she grunted in annoyance as I turned back to the elevator and pushed the button. “I’m under no obligation to wait for you, though.”
“But then you’d miss out on all the fun,” I teased her.
“Would I.”
“Yes – I swore on my brothers’ lives, after all.”
She half-smiled in spite of herself.
The elevator dinged.
“Arrivederci, bella,” I said, blowing her a kiss, as I got on the elevator.
The last thing I saw was her shaking her head ruefully as she headed towards her room.
