Page 45 of Merciless Obsession (The Bloodline #2)

Lifting my head I looked around, noticing the arrows at the three openings. My teeth scraped over my bottom lip. My skin prickled and it wasn’t from the cold.

“The haunted house is this way.” She pointed forward.

It didn’t make sense that he knew I was here or that he was demanding to meet me alone. There was no telling what he wanted or had planned. My heartrate picked up and my stomach quivered.

“Go ahead. I’ll catch up.” I went to go left but Inaya grabbed me.

“Where are you going?”

“The mirrors.”

She frowned and narrowed her eyes. “Okay, let’s go.”

I shook my head. “No.” Inaya looked confused now. “Go ahead to the haunted house. I’ll meet up with you in a few.”

“What’s going on?”

My phone vibrated again. “I just need to check something.”

Inaya shifted her eyes to the sign that directed to the mirrors. A group of people came stumbling toward us, going in the direction of the maze.

“You’re sure you’re okay?”

“Yeah.”

Inaya’s eyes cut into slits. The trail was dark outside of the strobe lights and smoke, but I could see the questions all over her face.

“I’m good, I swear. Go ahead,” I encouraged and pulled away from her.

I turned to go to the mirrors. A rush of excitement ran through my veins the closer I got the building.

My stomach fluttered wildly. The hairs on the back of my neck rose and my eyes darted around each time I heard something.

The Kents had speakers overhead that played creepy music and every so often the same laugh from the clown’s boombox cut in.

When I got to the entrance of the mirrors, I bounced my eyes around. The area seemed empty. In the distance I heard the rest of the party enjoying themselves.

Stepping into the building, I looked around. My reflection stared back at me. Slowly, I walked ahead, looking around.

I jumped hearing a laugh. “Hello?” I called out, looking around.

The laugh grew louder. Making a turn, I jumped again and my eyes widened seeing someone dressed in a Joker costume. I spun around but there was no one there.

Licking my lips, I swallowed hard. When I turned back, I only saw myself.

For the next five minutes I walked through the maze of mirrors, trying to find who was texting me or the exit. Every so often I would see the person dressed in the Joker costume or hear that ear bleeding, obnoxious laugh.

“I’m coming for you, Bumblebee!” a loud voice boomed.

My pulse picked up. My eyes darted from side to side.

“Where are you?”

I walked faster as my stomach did a cartwheel.

“You have to find me before I find you.” The laugh sounded again.

The lights inside flickered. It seemed like everywhere I turned was a dead end, surrounded by images of myself.

“You can run but you can’t hide, Bumblebee. I’m gonna get you.”

Fight or flight kicked in and I took off in a run.

Ezra got a thrill out of this; I could hear it in his voice.

He was haunting me. How he set this up I wasn’t sure but I refused to be caught.

His intentions were unclear but I was excited.

I felt like I did when he watched me through my window times ten.

Each time the Joker appeared, the adrenaline inside me heightened.

It made me wonder if this was what drug addicts felt when they shot up, an intense high.

The more I was haunted, it felt like an overbearing flood of endorphins were shooting through me.

I saw a light and what looked like outside when I turned again. The lights went out again and this time when they came in, I was surrounded by Joker. He was behind me in my reflection.

Spinning around, I saw the silhouette of someone.

“Caught ya.”

My eyes bucked and I turned, taking off in a sprint.

I rushed to the light ahead and ended up outside.

I bounced my eyes back side to side. The Kents’ property was huge.

They had utilized a good amount with the attractions set up.

It was fenced in for privacy. In the distance were basketball and tennis courts.

There was a sign that read haunted maze to the right.

When the sound of laughing grew closer to me, I took off in the direction of the maze.

Ezra thought because of what happened this morning he was in control but he was wrong.

I refused to get caught by him. A rush shot through me as I ran.

My legs burned and my blood pumped. The wig on my head stuck to my face as my scalp tingled.

The maze seemed to have different entrances. I bypassed the haunted house to get to it.

“Bumblebee,” Ezra called out. He was quick, his movements silent.

I glanced behind me, smirked. “Fuck you!” I called out and hurried into the entrance of the maze.

There were people inside but my only focus was getting away from Ezra. The maze was perfectly set up to confuse people. People popped out. Mechanical hands reached out to grab folks. Yells and shrieks could be heard all around. The maze wasn’t small either, it had to be at least a mile each way.

I knew Inaya was probably wondering where I was, and when I thought it was safe, I pulled my phone out to text her. Just like I thought, I saw a text from her wondering where I was.

I was in the middle of texting her back when my body jerked and I fell to the ground. My phone went flying. A heavy body was on me as I struggled to break loose.

“Caught you,” Ezra growled. He lowered his white painted face and ran his nose along my cheek. My heart slammed into my ribcage painfully hard.

“Get off me!” I shouted.

“Now, now, Bumblebee. I caught you, now it’s time to claim my prize.” A yelp escaped my mouth when I was flipped onto my stomach.

“Look at us, matching outfits. Harley Quinn and The Joker. A match made in heaven,” he rasped against my ear. His voice was husky and full of lust and heat. My breathing grew heavy as my lungs worked overtime to function properly. I kicked my feet and wiggled to try to get from under him.

“You fit your character. Insane!”

Ezra chortled darkly. “You have no idea.” He bit the nape of my neck and sucked roughly.

“If you want to do this the hard way, then so be it.” My arms were held at the small of my back and I felt soft rope, the same feeling as when he tied me up at his house, around my wrists. He pressed his body against my back and pushed his length into my ass.

Voices sounded from a few feet away. “Looks like we might have company soon.” Ezra grabbed the waist of my shorts and maneuvered them down my thighs. “You look so damn hot in this costume. My little Quinn.” I moaned when he rubbed my bottom lips from behind.

“Get off me,” I demanded but there was no fight behind my words. Every nerve buzzed inside of me. Between my legs seeped with moisture. My insides throbbed and tingled.

“Ah,” I whimpered when his thick finger pushed inside me.

“That’s right. Fight me, Bumblebee. Show me that stringer.” One of his hands wrapped around my throat from behind. He cuffed it and caused my neck to bend back.

The sounds of people grew closer. I fought to keep my moans quiet as he finger fucked me.

“If anyone sees you, then I’ll have to act,” he rasped. “Do you understand what that means?” He leaned in and swiped his tongue along my cheek before nipping it with his teeth.

“You can’t,” I whispered, squeezing my eyes shut, feeling a second finger enter me.

“I told you only I get to see you like this. So you better hope they don’t come this way.” My eyes shot open. Ezra pushed his fingers deeper and curled them forward. My walls clenched around them and my stomach flooded with need.

“What was that?” someone called out when my moans grew.

“Uh oh.” Ezra kissed the shell of my ear. “I think they’re coming.”

I tried to call out to tell them to stay away. Ezra would make his threat a promise, I knew it, but when he added a third finger and shifted them, my body erupted in passion. A toe curling tremble passed through me and I cried out.

Ezra tightened his grip on my neck, limiting my airway. Another orgasm pushed through me when Ezra pulled his fingers from inside me and replaced them with his thick length. I cried out and my eyes rolled to the back of my head.

He moved in and out of me with long, skillful strokes.

The voices were just seconds away. “No,” I managed to get out and shifted. “No, st-stay.” My words were replaced with another moan. My mind clouded with lust.

“What was that?” someone asked.

“I don’t know. Fuck, is that a chainsaw?”

“Run!” The voices shifted.

“Did being hunted turn you on, Bumblebee? We already know me watching you from the shadows turns you on, but do you like to be chased and bound too?”

I shook my head quickly but couldn’t form words to refute his claims. Fire burned in my stomach.

Ezra kissed the back of my neck, sending electric shivers down my spine. He gripped my hip, lifting it slightly. It was a good thing grass was under us because I would be scraped up with anything else.

“I could hardly focus after I left your house this morning. All I could think about was that pretty little mouth wrapped around my dick. How beautiful and turned on you looked on your knees for me. I jerked off to the picture I took of you, just before coming here.” He moaned the last words in my ear. He tightened his hold on my neck again.

The way he looked at me this morning played over in my head. The way my mouth soaked in his masculine taste and how he felt against my tongue caused me to whimper.

My eyes rolled to the back of my head. I didn’t think I’d ever heard a man’s moans sound as sexy as his.

They were deep, throaty, and gruff as hell.

Fireworks exploded behind my eyes. The sound of him moving in and out of my wetness fought with the overhead music and distant murmurs from partygoers.

I clenched my pussy. Ezra sped up, slamming into me with brute force.
