I’d made the right decision, going to him. Eoin knew what he was doing. Not just the logistical stuff, but being calm and in control. He didn’t blow off the danger of what we were doing but didn’t let emotion get in the way. I loved Alec and valued his qualities, but Eoin was the McCrae with the skills I needed to pull this off.

“All right. Get in place. The mark just pulled into the parking lot.” Eoin’s voice was steady as he relayed the information. “Hob, are you ready?”

“To take a serial rapist into a room with my girlfriend and one of my closest friends for a massage? Not really.”

“Hob.” It was Mai’s turn to pull Hob back in.

“Yes, I’m ready.”

“Good.” Eoin paused and then said, “Incoming.”

Mai and I moved over to the massage table, putting it between us and the door. I clasped my hands behind my back and saw Mai do the same. It was a good way to keep our hands from shaking…and it kept me from hitting Clyde when he walked into the room a minute later.

Just under six feet tall, Clyde had an athletic build, which meant this was a little more dangerous than if he’d been some overweight, over-the-hill stereotype. Despite the thinning hair that was either dark blond or light brown, and muddy brown eyes that slithered over me and then moved on to Mai, he was a decent-looking guy. Or would have been if I hadn’t known what a horrible person he truly was.

“Hello there, sweet things.”

If I hadn’t felt like I wanted to throw up before, I definitely did now. The man oozed sleaze.

“Hello,” Mai and I chorused together.

Mai held out the usual paperwork that came with scheduling an appointment and when he took the clipboard, I half-expected him to actually fill things out and completely screw up the sting. Instead, he tossed it on the chair by the door.

“I don’t think we need to worry about names. This is just between us.”

He licked his lips and started unbuttoning his shirt. I only just then realized that he was still wearing his uniform. The bastard wasn’t even trying to hide the fact that he was a cop.

“You two gonna help me undress?” His leer made my skin crawl.

Mai and I exchanged glances, both of us trying to look coy. She was managing the sex kitten act much better than me, but I was doing my best.

“Stay calm,” Eoin said softly. “Act unsure. Shy.”

Clyde tossed his shirt on the empty chair next to the door. “Fine by me if you don’t talk. I don’t care much for chatter. In my opinion, a girl’s mouth is only good for one thing, and talking’s not it.”

When he started on his pants, I was tempted to tell him I definitely didnotwant to see what he had underneath his briefs, but I hadn’t come here to give up just because I didn’t want to see his dick.

And what a sad-looking dick it was too.

I nearly laughed when he straightened, hands on hips as if he should be proud of the ratty nest of pubic hair surrounding a limp couple inches of thin flesh. Then he cupped himself and mercifully hid it from sight. He ignored the towel sitting right in front of him on the table.

“Like what you see, sweet thing?” When I didn’t answer, he laughed before asking, “How’s this work?”

“Lay down on your stomach, and we’ll start with your back,” I said, taking a step forward.

“And when do we get to the happy ending?”

“At the end, of course,” Mai said, moving up next to me with a smile.

“How about we just skip to the end then?” He climbed on the table and laid down on his back, folding his hands behind his head. “I mean, it is supposed to be somethingspecial, right? I’m in charge.”

For a moment, I had this utterly surreal sense of déjà vu. Or, rather, the upside-down version of déjà vu where my memory of Alec laying on my table overlapped with this one. The near-instant attraction I’d felt toward him. How I’d wondered about what had been under the towel covering a clear erection.

This experience was the exact opposite of that one.

“Aren’t you girls going to get more comfortable?” He wiggled his hips, and his penis flopped around. It looked like it was a little harder than before, but I didn’t really want to examine it any closer.

“Are you asking us to undress for your massage?” I worded the question carefully. “That isn’t included in today’s package.”
