Story: Leather & Lace
brOOKLYN
I feel as if I am dying. My head pounds from the night before. I have already puked three times this morning and still feel my stomach twisting inside me. Laying on my bed, I stare at the ceiling. What happened last night?
I remember it vaguely, but pain hits me when I think about the girl running into the room, wanting to kill me. Tears poured down her stunning face. Was that his girlfriend? Did he cheat on her with me? My mind is so confused, and I feel sick once again at the thought.
Why can’t I get him out of my head? If he is the asshole she made him out to be, why do I still care? Am I that fucked up? Before I can pull my thoughts out of my head, Jenny opens the door and enters with two coffees and some bagels. I give her a small smile as my pouty eyes meet hers.
“Hey babe,” she says when she notices I am awake. “You doing, okay?” I look at her and then throw my pillow over my face, screaming loudly into it. I hear her chuckle then sit on the end of my bed.
“Here, drink some coffee and eat. It will help you feel better.” God, I love this woman. If I were born a man, I would surely worship the ground she walks on.
“Thanks,” I say quietly as she hands me my steaming coffee.
“Ok, so what the fuck happened last night? I tried asking you in the car ride back home, but all you did was stare out of the window. And I did not appreciate the fucking anxiety you gave me from your utter silence!”
I feel my face blush with embarrassment and guilt. Taking a sip of the hot latte, I reply, “I am truly sorry about that. I just don’t think I even knew how to explain it. My emotions were too high.” She lets out a sigh and motions me to continue.
“So, I pretty much found the man of my dreams last night. Was in his bed. Literally gave me my first and only orgasm. Pure Heaven. Then, his psychotic girlfriend came in wanting to rip my fucking head off.” Jenny almost splits her coffee out as I confess.
“Holy shit! You fucked a guy last night? And had your first orgasm?” I swear it’s like she only hears what she wants.
“Um, no about the sex, ma’am. I mean, he just went down on me. I’m sure it would have led there though, but did you miss the part about the crazy girlfriend that wanted to murder me?” I glared at her.
She puts her coffee down and laughs. “Girl, you don’t know if that was something serious. I mean, why would he try to fuck another girl if his woman was downstairs?” I mean it makes sense, but I am sure this kind of thing has definitely happened to other women. So, I can’t rule it out completely.
“Well, from her reaction, it kind of proved true to me,” I say with a sigh. “I don’t want to be that woman, you know?” Jenny takes a long look at me then shakes her head.
“Ok, so who was the guy? ‘Cause I know for damn sure it wasn’t innocent Chase, who never left the couch all night.” Giggling, she sips her latte again.
“Eli.” I blurt out. She spits out her coffee again.
“The fucking god of a man?” Her eyes widened in pure excitement. “Ok, don’t get me wrong, Dane is literally everything I could dream into reality, and a fucking sex god, but Eli?” She shakes her head and takes a deep inhale.
“I mean, he isn’t my physical type, but he could still get it!” She says, laughing as I throw my pillow at her. “No wonder that girl was so pissed off!” She laughs loudly.
“Oh, stop, I already feel like a complete asshole. I didn’t even give him a second to speak to me. Ran right out of his room like a scared little girl.” Looking down I pick at my nails.
“Well, it’s a good thing I’m fucking his friend, right?” She says with an evil smile on her face.
“Or that will complicate a lot of things,” I mumble quietly to myself.
“He made me come so many times, I am pretty sure I met God and had a full-blown conversation with him,” she says, looking deep in thought. “He is a fucking devil with his tongue.” She sticks her tongue between two fingers wiggling it between them.
“EW, no! I don’t need that image,” I say laughing loudly and pushing her away from me.
“The man literally tied me up in lace straps.” My eyes widened in response.
“What?” I blurt out in surprise. She just giggles and bites her lower lip.
“Pretty much the best night of my life. For a split second though, I thought I was going to be the next victim of some murder mystery on tv.” she admits with a wink. “But get ready, because we are going back over there tonight.” A smirk spreads across her lips.
“OMG, no Jenny! I can’t. I am sure he will be repulsed by me!” I jump off my bed and start to pace around the room, anxiety pulsing through my veins.
“I doubt that, babe. Dane told me to bring you.” She gives me a little wink. “I mean it all makes sense now!” She says laughing and shaking her head.
Wait, he still wants to see me? Or maybe it’s not him, maybe it’s Chase. Fuck, I completely forgot about Chase. He probably hates me now, if he knew anything about what I was doing last night with his friend.
The thought has my stomach turning again. I need to see what he has to say. Maybe I freaked out for no reason. Maybe she is just a random girl. I take a few moments before I reply. “Ok, I will come with you. But if there are any kind of weird vibes or fuckery, I won’t want to stay,” I say looking up at her.
Smiling back at me she says, “Of course, babe. You say the word and we are gone!” She waves her hands in the air as if making a disappearing motion. Oh man, I am not ready for this. I head over to my closet and pull out a pair of ripped, light blue jeans, and a black halter top.
I pull my hair into a messy bun and attempt to put some makeup on my pale face. Oh, I look like utter hell. Jenny hands me a couple ibuprofen as I drink the rest of my coffee down. She keeps insisting I look hot, but I know I am a far cry from that right now. Taking one last long look in the mirror and whimpering, I grabbed my purse and phone as we headed out of the dorm.
Driving up to the mansion, an uneasy feeling, fills me. I have no idea what to expect when I enter. The house is a far cry from what it was like last night. Only a few cars are in the driveway. No loud music or raving lights. It’s quiet. Jenny and I are greeted at the door by Dane. He leans in to give Jenny a kiss and a smack on her ass.
“Ow, asshole!” she says, laughing and punching him in his shoulder. Walking in the large doorway, the entry hall doesn’t even look like a single soul has touched it. Pristine clean. No smudges on the white marble floors, no red solo cups scattered around the rooms.
Eli is nowhere in sight. I exhaled the breath in relief I have been holding onto since I entered. I make my way to the living room and find a spot on the long, white velvet couch.
“Ok, ladies, what would you like to drink? We have your chick beers you love so much,” Dane says while winking at Jenny.
“Sure, I will take one,” I say quickly. Even though my stomach is still not at one hundred percent. I have never been more ridden with anxiety in my entire life than I am at the very moment. Sensing me, Jenny heads over and plops down on the couch right next to me, throwing her legs over my lap.
“I want one too,” she says smiling up at Dane. It’s cute. They are cute. The way he looks at her has my heart flipping for them. Dane walks over to the fridge and pulls out two strawberry coolers and hands them to us. Opening the beer, I take a big swig, enjoying the sweetness and warmth it has gushing down my throat.
“Damn girl, you are gonna need another one soon if you keep drinking like that,” he says in a flirty tone. Jenny playfully smacks him on his stomach. I can feel my cheeks flush.
“So, what do you guys have going on tonight,” I question, looking at Dane as if he already knows exactly what I am wanting to hear.
“Eli will be down in a minute. He is on the phone upstairs.” He sends a wink my way. Jenny squeals next to me. Shoving her with my elbow, I continue to drink my beer. So, he is here. Oh god. What should I say? How do I act? Do I even bring up last night? How embarrassing. I shouldn’t even be here right now.
About to get up I hear, “Hey beautiful.” His low voice hums from the bottom stairs. I lift my eyes to meet his gaze. BAM! Instant warmth. Instant buzzing in my stomach. The hectic electricity soaring through my aching body. My breath catches as I try to think of what to say.
“Ugh...hi,” I say nervously. Walking over to me, he reaches his hand out.
“I think you and I need to have a private conversation.” Grabbing his hand, I stand and follow him upstairs to his bedroom.
