Law

Law reached the door just in time to open it for Gabi to rush out.

“Woah, slow down there, Gabrielle.

What’s the rush?”

Something was going on with her.

If Raleigh didn’t step in soon, Law was going to kick his ass.

His little personal assistant/receptionist/whatever the hell else she was to the lawyer, wasn’t handling what she’d gone through two months ago well.

Raleigh needed to get his head out of his ass and take care of his girl.

Gabi blinked up at him.

Had she been crying? Raleigh definitely needed to get the lead out.

“You okay, Gabrielle?”

He couldn’t stand to see her upset.

She tried to put on a smile, but Gabrielle didn’t do a very good job of faking.

She was who she was, take her or leave her.

Law admired that about her.

But now she was trying to put up a front.

“Oh! Thanks, Law.

I’m fine. Just in a hurry to start my vacation. You take extra good care of Lovie this week and tell her I’ll see her if, um, I mean when… when I get back. Gotta run. Lovie’s inside with Vivi.”

Law shook his head and watched her until she disappeared around the corner.

Most people didn’t mean that literally, but Gabi took off like a shot.

One day, she was going to break her neck in those ridiculous high heels she wore.

Stepping into the shop, Law scanned the room for potential threats to his girl.

He didn’t see any problems, but that didn’t mean they weren’t there.

He gave Sawyer and Zane a chin lift as he headed toward the counter.

He’d talk to them in a few minutes.

First, he had to take care of his girl.

As soon as he reached her, he put his hand on her waist, running his thumb under her shirt.

Something about touching her skin, the smoothness, the warmth, the fact he could touch her in ways no one else could settled and soothed him.

She not only accepted his touch, she needed it.

Craved it as much as he did.

He loved that.

She was his perfect match.

She completed him in ways he hadn’t realized he needed.

Those few hours when she’d been missing, he’d nearly lost his mind.

And when he’d gotten the texts from Ravage saying they buried her? His world went black.

The light hadn’t returned until he got his hands on her, touched her.

Once she’d recovered, he’d done some digging and burying of his own.

And now, Ravage was the only one who knew where the bodies were because the man had helped Law handle what needed handling.

No one touched what was his to protect.

No one.

He hadn’t been able to get to the General yet, but he could be patient.

Law would get justice for his girl, Jaxon, and every other life that man had ruined.

It wouldn’t be long now.

He could feel it in his bones. The General’s days were numbered.

“Lawson? Did you hear me, son?”

Vivi asked.

The worry on Lovelyn’s face told him Vivi had been trying to get his attention for a while.

“Sorry, Vivi.

I was thinking about some plans I have for later this afternoon.”

He didn’t look at Lovelyn, but he felt it when she tensed and then melted to his side.

Yeah, his Little girl knew what they were doing this afternoon.

He’d told her because anticipation was half the fun.

At least it was for him.

He patted her bottom, and his cock swelled when she squirmed.

She wore a few decorations and accessories today that no one knew about except the two of them.

She’d protested at wearing them in public, but he’d assured her no one would know.

Time to have some fun.

“Here, fairy cat.

Let me help you have a seat.”

Her eyes rounded, and she started to protest.

“No, that’s all right.

I’d rather stand— oh!”

Ignoring her, he lifted her higher than necessary and plopped her down on the nearest barstool.

Not too hard, but firm enough to remind her of the butt plug she wore.

She glared at him, which only made him grin.

Unfortunately, it also hardened his cock.

He rubbed against her leg so she’d know they were both suffering, but that only made the flush spreading over her cheeks deepen.

Taking pity on her, he turned back to Vivi.

“I’m sorry, what was it you asked me?”

She cast him a knowing look.

Damn, not much made it past Genevieve Goodman.

“I asked if Gabi said anything to you when she left.”

Law glanced back at the door, as if she’d still be standing there.

“Not really, but I could tell she was upset.

I don’t think she’s gotten past what happened back in January.”

“No, she most certainly has not.

And if Raleigh Stevens doesn’t step up soon, I’m afraid he will lose the chance.”

So, he and Vivi were on the same page.

He definitely needed to have a word with Raleigh.

Gabi might be a bit of a nut, but she was a sweetheart all the same.

He hated to see her so tied up in knots.

And just like that, his brain jumped back to his plans for the coming afternoon.

If he didn’t get a grip on himself, he was going to walk into the meeting with his brothers with a raging hard on.

A glance at his watch let him know it was time for the meeting to start.

Luckily, everyone had agreed to meet here.

Between all the girls and Vivi in the shop and the fact they had cameras scanning the room, he’d reluctantly agreed to let Lovelyn stay out front.

He wouldn’t be long, or he’d have taken her back with him.

He’d still rather do that.

He didn’t like having her out of his sight.

But Reid had wanted just the brothers at this meeting, so Law agreed as long as he could sit by the cameras and the meeting didn’t go too long.

Turning back to Vivi, he said, “I’ll have a word with Raleigh, light a fire under him to take care of business.”

He could tell his words relieved her, so he turned to his girl.

“I have to go to my meeting.

I’ll be right down the hall if you need anything, and I’ll be watching you over the camera feed.

What is rule number one?”

The little minx rolled her eyes at him.

Oh, she’d pay for that later.

He released a soft growl so she knew it.

Something else for her to anticipate.

Leaning closer, he rested his arms on her shoulders and gave her some of his weight.

Just enough to put pressure on her bottom and make her squirm.

God, he loved to see her squirm.

“What is rule number one?”

he repeated.

With an exaggerated sigh, she answered.

“Rule number one is stay safe.

I will, Daddy.

I’m in the middle of a busy coffee shop.

How much danger could there be?”

“There better not be any.

And if there is, what do you do?”

“I run and get you, Viking.

You’re making a big deal out of nothing.”

Oh, hell no.

That was not the attitude he was looking for.

He pressed his chest against hers, knowing it would help her remember her other decorations.

It turned out his fairy cat liked nipple clamps, so he’d found some discreet ones that wouldn’t show.

She gasped again and moaned.

“Daddy, you need to stop.

That’s not fair.”

“I never promised to play fair, little girl.

Now, while I’m in the meeting, you are to stay in this room.

You do not go outside or anywhere else.

If you need to go to the bathroom, you call me and I’ll come take you.

Do you understand?”

“Yes, Daddy.

I understand.

Geez, it’s like you don’t trust me.”

When she poked out her bottom lip like that, he wanted to bite it and do some poking of his own.

He settled for raising an eyebrow.

“I trust you just fine, little fairy cat.

It’s the rest of the world I have issues with.

You be a good girl and follow your rules, number one and all the rest.

Do not test me, or when we get home, you will wish you hadn’t. Get me?”

Blushing deeper, she agreed.

“I get you, Daddy.

I get you.”

He hoped so.

He didn’t want to delay his plans for this afternoon, but he would.

He kissed her because the pouty lip thing did something for him and walked down the hall to his meeting.
