She cut her eyes at ol’ boy. “My husband doesn’t run my business, please lay those flat or hang them up.”
He chuckled and kissed her cheek. “Aight, you delivered that shit, now let’s go.”
“Sinita said she double checked the measurements so you shouldn’t have any issue, but if you do…” Oni stated, only to be cut off by her husband.
“Don’t call her. Call whoever is next in line on her team.”
“Krew…” she warned and the look he returned had a smile blossoming on her face.
“There’s a number on the card I gave you to reach my emergency staff if you need anything. I’m officially off duty with my company for the next couple days so we can find a realtor and get a house locked down before I start my next big job. I’ll be traveling with my new line for two months.”
“You need a realtor?” I asked, cutting my eyes to my phone. I couldn’t keep buying properties to keep her pockets laced but I could damn sure send business her way.
“We do; you have one?”
“Yeah, I just purchased two spots from her. I can give you her information.”
“Yep, we’ll take it,” Oni said, smiling over her shoulder at her husband. “One less thing I have to think about means one less thing for him to hang over my head.”
“How the fuck am I hanging shit over your head when buying a new house was your idea, O?”
I smirked but kept my thoughts to myself. “Her name is Xiah Perry. She’s with Crescent Point Realtors.”
“I know them.” Oni frowned a bit then turned to her husband. “I think that’s the agency Kinsley owns. I forgot all about them. That definitely works.”
“Bet, if you’re cool with it, I am too,” he asserted.
“Thank you, I’ll reach out.”
I nodded and Oni removed her phone and started typing something.
“Royals, right?” Krew looked at me and I nodded. “Aight, we’re looking for a championship this season. We got close last year but shit didn’t work out. The city is counting on y’all. I saw some clips of you playing overseas. You’re nice. Adding you to the roster was a good look for the team.”
“’Preciate that.”
“So you can talk sports but I can’t talk business?”
“The only business you’re talking for the rest of the week involves me keeping a smile on your face. Now go.” He gripped her chin and dropped a kiss that had her smiling big as shit and leaning into him.
“I have floor seats, so I’ll see you in blue in a couple weeks. Also come by Flavor and I’ll hook you up with a VIP section anytime you want,” Krew said coolly.
“For sure.”
I wasn’t big on cigars but I heard his spot was pretty chill and had a laid back vibe so I would check him out. They left and I directed my attention back to Xiah after I laid the garment bags over the back of the sofa and headed back to the bathroom.
“You cool?”
“I’m fine but that’s still a woman and you shouldn’t have answered with your shirt off.”
“Aight, I’ll work on that but I also just got you a potential sale, so can I get a pass?”
Them pretty ass eyes rolled. “If I get the sale, then you can have the pass, and thank you.”
I smirked. “You’re welcome. What you need though?” I leaned against the counter staring at her pretty face.
“Can you help me pick which dress? I’m not sure what the vibe is for tonight.”
“There isn’t a vibe. I trust you to do your thing.”
