When I heard my phone chiming with a call, I popped a grape into my mouth and motioned toward the table next to me where my tote was.

“Hey, would you mind grabbing that for me?”

The woman smiled and wiped her hands on a towel before digging my phone out of the tote and handing it to me. She immediately went back to running her fingers under the bottom of my foot and up my ankles in a way that had me releasing an appreciative moan before I answered.

“I’m alive and well.”

“I know you are, friend. You’re also still at The Metropolitan, which means you had a great night. So how was the dick?” Koa asked, making me drop my eyes to the woman running her knuckles along the arch in my foot.

“The best I’ve ever had.”

“Oh shit, I didn’t think you’d actually do it. This is a proud friend moment. Aww, Xi, you’re all grown up.”

I grinned, rolled my eyes ,and carefully selected my wording so the woman below me wouldn’t know what I was discussing. “This is not my first one.”

“I do believe it’s your first one since college and one night stands with broke ass, dick slinging CFU ballers versus a very rich, sexy dick slinging Royals baller are two very different experiences, friend.”

“You’re right, the CFU baller only has D to prove his worth, whereas the Royals player has his money, status, and D as a bonus. He doesn’t have to sling as hard to keep a smile on your face.”

“Wait, you said best you ever had. Was the dick trash but he made up for it with his black card?”

“Definitely wasn’t trash. I’m just making a point that when slinging is all you have, it’s possible that the sling is a little more convincing, that however, was not my case.”

“Bitch, what the fuck are you saying, the dick was good or not?”

“My girl. You make me proud but now tell me why you’re still there.”

“How do you know I’m still here?”

“Girl you know I checked your location before I called. You’re still there.” The woman working on my pedi gently yanked my sweats down my legs one by one and lifted the slides I purchased onto the padded section of the station for me to slide my feet into because she was done.

“Hang on, Koa.”

I removed the phone from my ear. “Can I tip and add it to the room?”

“Not necessary. Thirty percent is added to each service.”

“Oh. Well, thank you so much.” I lifted from the chair and wiggled my toes as I looked down at them to admire her work. “It’s perfect.”

“Please come back and see us.”

“I sure will. Today was much needed.”

“Okay I’m back,” I said to Koa as soon as I stepped out of the Oasis salon into the lobby of the spa. I pushed through the glass door and made my way to the elevator.

“Who were you tipping? What are you doing?”

“I just left the spa. I decided to stay and treat myself after the sale I made but Kove insisted on letting me celebrate on his dime. He rented me a suite last night and put his card on file for me to rack up a tab which I did…”

“Wait, are you sure the dick wasn’t trash?”

I laughed. “No, the dick wasn’t trash. I mean it. Best I ever had. A man with a big dick doesn’t impress me. A man with a big dick he’s skilled at using is a unicorn. I experienced my first unicorn, Koa, and I’m ruined.”
