“Ourkitchen,” he corrects.
“—Sorry, our kitchen, and I saw we have everything for Petit Fours. Your favorite.”
His brows raise in intrigue. “Can I slather your tits in the icing and lick it off?”
My lips part as my cheeks turn a bright red shade. I turn away from him, sniffing as I head for the kitchen. “Yes, but you better not leave me sticky.”
Chapter Thirty-Seven
Atlas
I circle Loxley’s pink bud with my tongue, lapping up the last of the sticky white sugar as I hold her apron open with my other hand.
We’re both naked in the kitchen, sugar, flower, and icing covering our matching aprons as she attempts to finish the mini-cakes stacked on a rack.
She moans, one of her hands tangled in my hair at the nape of my neck while the other holds a spatula dripping with the thin icing I’ve spent the last thirty minutes licking off of her. Every time she looks a little too stressed, I pop her apron open and smear the dessert all over her perfect tits before diving in and turning her into a panting mess.
“We need to finish,” she protests weakly.
“I’mtryingyou fucking tease,” I quip as she pushes my face back into her rounded breast.
I give her a playful nip on her bud before pulling back and kissing along her jaw.
God, she smells so fucking good. I could just eat her up.
She gasps, making my head whip up as I search the kitchen frantically. “What?”
She puts her hands on her hips. “Call your brother! We still haven’t heard from them! This isn’t like Addie to ignore her messages…”
“Right, right,” I pull out my phone before clicking Rowan’s name on the screen. It takes a few rings to connect and I frown down at the device. Rowan never lets it ring more than three times. He’s a freak like that.
“Hello?” he sounds slightly disheveled when he answers. He’s breathing hard, and it takes my brain a moment to process that it’s him on the line.
“Hey, man,” I greet. “Where is Addison? Loxley can’t get a hold of her. And where the fuck are you?”
“Uh,” I hear something snap on the other side of the line and my brow furrows. Loxley looks expectantly at the device, but I know she can’t hear what’s going on in the background. Like the distant highway that’s buzzing just beyond the sounds of my brother walking through brush. “My car started making a weird sound last night, so we stopped at a hotel. Addison forgot her charger and her phone lost battery, but she’s back in the room taking a nap while I look under the hood.”
I don’t believe him. And judging by the tone he’s using, he knows I don’t. It sounds like he’s accepting that I’m onto him before I even call him on his bullshit.
“Oh, thank god,” Loxley says, sounding relieved as she places a hand over her heart. “Just let her know to come find me when you get back.”
“Will do,” Rowan grunts.
“Do you need me to send someone out there to help?” I ask cautiously.
“Nope. I have it handled.”
“Right,” I drawl. Loxley is back to decorating, but I give her temple a kiss before I step out into the garage. The cool air hits my bare ass, but it isn’t enough to distract me from my brother’s odd behavior. “What the fuck is going on?”
Rowan curses and I hear something that sounds likerope tightening. “Addie isn’t in danger. She’s fine. We just got a little sidetracked, is all.”
I can make out a few distinct sounds I recognize, and the dots connect in my head. “Rowan?”
“Hmm?”
“Are you tying someone to a tree?”
There’s a pause over the phone before his voice sounds gruff and agitated. “I’ll talk to you later, Atlas.”
