Inside, Wyatt put the things away.“So, what did AJ want?”

“I’d rather talk about the dunk booth.”I pulled her closer.“Nice hat.”I flipped it around so I could kiss her.

“Julian.”She pulled away.

“It’s between Toronto and DC.Vegas hasn’t said anything.Got a preference?”I lied.What would knowing the whole story fix?

“Not DC.”She smiled at me.“Are we really doing this?”

“Yes, we are.”I picked her up and carried her into the bedroom.I had three days left here, so whatever was happening in Las Vegas could wait.
