I check my robe and nod.

Linc opens the door, and I'm shocked to find Jemima on the other side.

"Your Highnesses," she says, dipping into a deep curtsy.

"What is it?" I ask, knowing my maid won't be here unless there's a serious reason for it, especially when I dismissed her hours ago.

"Lord Fallmartin requests you go to the House Rothorne apartments," Jemima says, a little bit of nervousness in her voice as she looks between the two of us, probably well aware of what she interrupted.

"Is he aware of what time it is?" Linc asks.

"He says it's important, Your Highness." Jemima looks past him to where I'm sitting on the bed. "They've found a body in the House Rothorne apartments."

"A body?" I echo. My mind races for what that could mean, and the people the body could belong to. It's obviously a member of the family or there'd be no reason to wake us in the middle of our wedding night.

Which only leaves the question of who. I run through the list in my head, but don't have any answer.

All I know is that it's one of them.
