Page 3 of HIS GIRL.

As Eryx walked away, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. She had never felt this way about anyone before, and she wasn't sure how to process her emotions.

She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, but she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change in a big way.

Just then, her friend Emily came up to her, a big smile on her face. "Oh my gosh, what just happened?" Emily asked, her eyes shining with excitement.

She blushed and looked away, trying to play it cool. "Nothing, just Eryx asking me to dance," she said, trying to downplay the situation.

But Emily wasn't buying it. "Don't lie to me, I saw the way he looked at you," Emily said, her voice full of conviction. "He's totally into you!"

She felt a flutter in her chest at Emily's words, and she couldn't help but wonder if her friend was right. Was Eryx really interested in her?

She pushed the thought aside and tried to focus on the present moment. She was going to dance with Eryx, and she was going to make the most of it.

"Let's go get some lunch," Emily said, breaking into her thoughts. "I'm starving!"

She nodded and followed Emily out of the classroom, her mind still reeling with thoughts of Eryx and their upcoming dance.

As she walked away with Emily, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Eryx was still watching her.

She felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought, and she quickened her pace.

But as they reached the cafeteria, she couldn't resist the urge to glance back over her shoulder. And that's when she saw him - Eryx, standing in the doorway, his eyes locked on hers.

Their gazes met for a brief moment, and she felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. Then Eryx smiled, and she felt her heart skip a beat.

She quickly looked away, feeling her cheeks flush with heat. What was wrong with her? She was acting like a total schoolgirl.

But as she joined the line for lunch, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.

She had a feeling that this was going to be a very interesting day.

As she waited in line, she couldn't help but steal glances over her shoulder, hoping to catch another glimpse of Eryx.

And then, just as she was about to order her lunch, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

She turned around, and there he was, standing behind her with a charming smile on his face. "Hey, mind if I join you?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

She felt her heart skip a beat as she shook her head, trying to play it cool. "Not at all," she said, trying to sound casual.

Eryx stepped forward and ordered his lunch, and then they made their way to a table by the window. As they sat down, Emily caught her eye and raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by the sudden development.

She just smiled and shrugged, trying to downplay the situation. But as she turned back to Eryx, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.

She just smiled and shrugged, trying to downplay the situation. But as she turned back to Eryx, she wondered why he was interested in her.

As they sat down at the table, Eryx's friend Tyler slid into the seat across from them. "Hey, man, what's up?" Tyler asked, his eyes flicking between Eryx and her.

Eryx's expression remained neutral, his eyes never leaving hers. "Just grabbing some lunch, Ty," he said, his voice low and even.

Tyler nodded and turned his attention to her. "So, how's it going?" he asked, his friendly demeanor a stark contrast to Eryx's reserve.

She smiled and chatted with Tyler, feeling a sense of ease with him that she couldn't quite muster with Eryx. Eryx, on the other hand, remained quiet, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that made her feel like he could see right through her.

As they ate their lunch, Tyler kept the conversation going, asking her questions about her classes and interests. Eryx listened silently, his expression unreadable, but his eyes never leaving hers.

As the lunch period drew to a close, Tyler glanced at his watch and stood up. "I've got to get to class," he said, gathering his things. "Emily, you coming with me? I've got a free period next and I was thinking of studying in the library."

Emily nodded and stood up, smiling at her friend. "Yeah, I'll come with you. See you later," she said, waving goodbye.

As Emily and Tyler walked away together, Eryx turned his attention back to her. "Walk with me," he said, his eyes never leaving hers.

She felt a shiver run down her spine as she nodded, gathering her things. What did Eryx want with her?

Eryx's expression remained stoic, but his voice took on a low, husky tone. "I was thinking," he said, his eyes locked on hers, "that maybe we could find a quiet spot to... study. Together. Alone."

The hallway around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a moment of charged tension. His words were innocent on the surface, but the underlying implication was unmistakable.

She felt a shiver run down her spine as she met his gaze, her heart racing with anticipation. Eryx's expression didn't change, but she could sense the intensity behind his eyes, the spark of attraction that he couldn't quite hide.

She swallowed hard, trying to process the sudden shift in atmosphere. Eryx's eyes seemed to bore into hers, as if daring her to respond.

"I'd like that," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.

Eryx's expression didn't change, but she sensed a flicker of satisfaction behind his eyes. "Good," he said, his voice low and even. "I'll meet you in the library after class. We can... study together."

The tension between them was palpable, and she felt a thrill of excitement at the prospect of being alone with Eryx. She nodded, trying to play it cool, but her heart was racing with anticipation.

As they parted ways, she couldn't help but wonder what exactly Eryx had planned for their "study session". But one thing was for sure - she was eager to find out.
