And Vivaxia…
Shh,Ajax hushed into my mind.Stay in the present with us, Cami. And don’t even think about pushing our power out of you.
Our power…?I echoed, shivering as a wave of electricity rolled across my skin. It took me a moment to realize it was Melek’s finger sending shocks through my being, his gaze intent as I glanced up at him.
“You pushed too much into the Source,” he murmured aloud, responding to my train of thought. “Ty told us to flood you with energy and coax you into taking it.” His multicolored irises flickered with heat. “Now we’re going to ensure you keep it.” He lowered his lips to my abdomen, his expression filled with wicked delight as he began kissing a path downward.
Each touch lit my skin on fire, his power humming along my being and soaking into my spirit. “I didn’t know you could do that,” I whispered, every part of me feeling alive.
Melek had kissed me before. Touched me, too. But this… this was underlined in powerful vibrations that had my soul sighing inside.
Az hissed, drawing my attention to him as Ajax drew his teeth along his shaft. “You’re fucking with me,” my Phoenix Fae mate accused.
“I’m dominating you,” Ajax returned. “So sit there and enjoy it.”
My thighs tensed in response to their words, only for Melek to push my legs apart and settle between them. “Ty and I will prepare her to be fucked while you two play,” he said, his mouth against my heated center.
Ty and I,I repeated, my gaze flying up to the Hell Fae King. He was sitting beside me on the bed, his suit ruffled but otherwise intact.
While the rest of us were naked—including Melek—something I noted now as I ran my gaze over the tattoos decorating his chiseled torso before returning my attention to Typhos.
He canted his head, like he was pondering something.
Then he leaned down and pressed his mouth to mine as Melek slid two fingers into me below. I jolted, the combination of sensations underscored by a bolt of fire as they drowned me in their auras.
So much power,I marveled, shuddering. If Vivaxia?—
No,Melek interjected.Don’t think about her. Focus on this—onus.
But if she?—
“No, little angel,” Melek said, shifting to speak out loud again. “We’re safe here.Youare safe here. Let us heal your soul.”
“No one can touch us here,” Typhos added against my mouth, seeming to follow the conversation despite it having begun in my mind with Melek. “My Source is stronger than ever thanks to you, little siphon. So relax, enjoy, and let your mates worship you while I protect you all.”
I trembled beneath the weight of his commentary. There was a hint of praise in there with his words of gratitude, but also a note of command underlining that last part.
Can I trust him to protect us?I wondered, staring into his eyes.
He’d stopped kissing me to speak but remained right against my lips. And now he was gazing at me with a ferocity that stole my breath.
He took dominance to a whole new level.
Suddenly, I simply wanted to let him lead. To give in to his need for control and enjoy, just like he’d told me to.
Questioning my faith in him was a moot point.
Because I already knew the answer. Of course he would protect us. It was what Typhos Lucifer did—he protected everyone in his realm, especiallyhis inner circle.
Rather than respond verbally, I arched my neck and kissed him. It was almost like what I’d done in his bed the other day when I’d thought it was a dream.
But this was more than a fantasy.
This was me bowing to the Hell Fae King and expressing my gratitude for his guidance. For his leadership. For keeping me—us—safe.
I didn’t want to fight this attraction anymore. I didn’t want to fighthim. I merely wanted to exist in the moment and let whatever this was happen.
His palm cupped my cheek, his responding touch gentle.
