Page 182 of Hell Fae King
We both know that’s not true, little prince,he replied without missing a beat.
Then he started kissing Cami again, like he couldn’t help himself.Perhaps now you see why we all fell for her,I drawled.
Magic fucking pussy, he returned. But I heard the humor in his voice, as well as the underlying groan. Because he wanted to be inside her. To fuck her. Toclaimher.
And she desired the same.
However, her mind was also processing their surroundings and paying attention to the electric currents in the air.
Fascination stole over me, only to turn to horror in a blink as I sensed Vivaxia’s darkness coming right for Cami and Ty.
Their names left my mouth as a shout, but the two of them were already moving. Ty’s wings flared around him and Cami, his hands on her hips as they faced the incoming swarm of angry energy.
It didn’t even look like Vivaxia, just a mess of hornet-like spheres buzzing in a fiery hive.
But it was her.
Her essence.
Hersoul.
She wasn’t welcome here. The gates may no longer exist, but this realm protected its own. And the Hell Fae Source was the ultimate beacon of power.
A beacon of power that Cami and Ty owned.
A beacon of power that Az, Ajax, and I guarded.
And that beacon of power didn’t approve of Vivaxia’s presence.
However, we couldn’t let the Source push her out. It might take thousands of years for her to recover, but she would be back. She was obsessed with Ty’s light, and Cami would be just as much of a target.
Which meant we had to find a way to imprison her. Todestroyher corporeal shell and encapsulate her soul.
Ty,I started.
But a hush from his mind told me not to interfere. He was helping Cami focus.
I listened as she realized what she needed to do, the stone in her hand guiding her. Ty’s thoughts helped her understand what the rock was trying to say, too. I couldn’t hear him, but I could imagine what he was saying.
It’s a death stone because it imprisons souls and prevents them from moving on.
Which suggested she might be able to trap Vivaxia inside it, a realization that Cami was now making as the hissing hive neared us all.
She straightened her shoulders, her gaze on the ghastly sight while she clutched the rock in her hand. “Fight a fiery portal with heat,” she said. “Douse Hellfire with warmth. Take down a dark soul withdeath.” She held up the stone while she spoke, herwords not making sense to me until I saw the lines she’d drawn in her mind, her history linking to the present.
All those camping trips with her parents had served a purpose.
Hell Fae Rule #13: Nothing Is What It Seems.
The rule rolled through her mind, along with a dozen others. Including one that caught my attention now, one that didn’t quite fit with the rest.
Hell Fae Rule #6: Only Look Out for Yourself—No One Else.
That’d been about survival. But Cami realized now that worrying about others was what made the Source thrive. Typhos had created a new light that supported everyone and everything under his control. She’d emboldened that power with her own strength.
And through the guidance of her parents. Of who they’d helped her become.
Culminating in the death stone she now held in her hand.
