Page 8 of Hell Fae King
Her lips met mine in the next instant, the touch so unanticipated that I froze.
The same thing had happened to me yesterday, the shock of her unexpected touch rendering me momentarily stunned.
But the electricity humming through my veins hit my heart faster this time, allowing me to react quicker than our previous embrace.
However, I still wasn’t fast enough as she pulled back before I could properly grab her and deepen the kiss.
She fell away, her eyebrows drawn down. “Real.”
“Very,” I emphasized. Every bit of this wasreal. The threat. The desire. The unequivocalneed. I blamed Melek for stoking my inner flame, his fantasies having more than primed this infatuation.
But it was also Camillia De la Croix.
She really does have a magic pussy,I mused.
A pussy that tastes like ambrosia, Melek replied, his voice a deep murmur. She’s fucking addicting, my king.
Hmm, I hummed, not wanting to commit to that opinion. But one look into my mind would provide him with confirmation of how I felt.
Clearing my throat, I pushed away from the bed. “Can we talk now, Miss De la Croix?” I asked her.
“Are we back to using titles?” she countered, some of her trademark fire highlighting her voice. “Your Majesty.”
My lips twitched at the snark underlining those two words. I wrapped my palm around her throat and leaned back down to press my lips to hers. Hard. Purposefully. With barely restrained need.
She gasped, the sound cut off as I squeezed her delicate neck and deepened the kiss, just like I’d wanted to mere seconds ago.
Her hand went to my wrist, the opposite going to my head. But rather than push me away, she held on while I devoured her, not caring at all that I’d restricted her airway.
By the time I finished, she looked dazed. “Breathe, Camillia,” I told her as I released her pretty throat.
She did as I commanded, her pupils blown wide with a mixture of confusion and arousal.
“Now put on the robe and join me for breakfast,” I added in the same tone. “And don’t address me formally. You’re naked in my bed. Formalities are not required.”
“But you?—”
“Miss De la Croix,” I interjected. “You’ve been using my last name. I was simply returning the favor. If you’d prefer Camillia, then call me Typhos.”
I actually didn’t mind her referring to me as Lucifer. It was much better than formal greetings.
And yes, I saw the irony in my preferences, given the lecture I’d bestowed upon her mere weeks ago.
However, everything had changed.Ihad changed.
I wanted to hear my name on her tongue. Not my title or Lucifer. ButTyphos. Just once. At least once. Probably more than once.
“Okay,” she whispered, staring up at me with a strange gleam in her gaze, one I couldn’t quite decipher.
“Okay,” I echoed, straightening and leaving the bed.
I turned away as she sat up, my instinct to watch her too strong. I needed to tame this forbidden craving before I did something rash.
Like rip the robe from her, splay her on the bed, and turn her midnight fantasies into a reality.
Melek appeared in front of me, his beautiful wings fluttering once before vanishing at his back. He’d abruptly departed the room a bit ago to give me a chance to speak with Camillia. Hopefully, his return meant he was satisfied by whatever progress I’d made with his mate.
Or, more likely, he’d overheard my mental musings and wanted to observe my reactions to his female’s magic pussy.
