It’s a fantasy I never had—a particular fantasy that I’m having and immediately approving of.

If I thought my nipples were sensitive to his tongue—I had no glimpse of an idea what it could do to my asshole.

The way every drag of his tongue causes my body to tremble with pleasure I can’t in any way suppress. And just when one wave of ecstasy rockets through me, his tongue casts another one before I’m ready, over and over again.

He isn’t holding back.

And holy fuck, I don’t want him to.

“There you are,” comes Heather’s voice from fucking left field.

I freeze in place, staring ahead.

Heather is at the other end of the kitchen carrying a box of balloons, which she promptly sets down on the back counter, then rolls her eyes at me. “Ugh, you know I hate when you strut around here shirtless. We all know you’re a gym freak. No need to announce it all the time.”

I’m gripping the kitchen island. My eyes won’t close. A Hollywood actor has his face buried in my ass. And even with my sister entering the kitchen, he still hasn’t stopped.

“Did Brooke get ahold of you about the birthday?”

I’m literally out of breath. And mortified. And totally fucking confused. “B-Birthday?”

“Yes. The big birthday scheduled for tomorrow.”

Even with River out of sight and my naked bottom half hidden behind the kitchen island, I can’t believe she hasn’t noticed anything. I can only count my lucky stars it isn’t Brooke who came in here; she’d read the sex all over my face and I’d never hear the end of it.

That doesn’t mean Heather can’t learn the truth just by sidestepping a teensy bit around the kitchen island.

“Our caterer fucked us,” says Heather, who abruptly comes up to the island on the opposite side, alarming me. “You need to get one of your friends, maybe Malik from the Blue Coral, to make us a nice big cake.”

“A nice big cake …” I echo, while River shamelessly continues to eat mine.

“Sweet sixteen. And the parents are fussy, so it has to be a good cake. A good and solid cake.”

“Good …” I suppress a groan. “… s-solid cake …”

River’s tongue digs deeper inside.

I let out a whimper and grip the counter tighter.

Heather shoots me a look. “What’s wrong with you? Change protein powders again? Giving you cramps? I can leave the room if you gotta rip one or something.”

For fuck’s sake, Heather, I’m not ripping anything, I just need you to leave . “I’ll go check with M-Malik about that cake. Pronto. Will do it tonight.”

“Now would be better, in case he’s busy.”

“Now then,” I agree through another suppressed groan.

“Finn …” She looks away with a sigh, then faces me. “I’ve given it a lot of thought. And I think I’ve … been … a bad sister to you lately.”

I want this apology, but not right now . “Heather …”

“I know it seems like I keep taking Theo’s side.

I have my own feelings to deal with. He’s more or less been in all of our lives for nearly a decade since you two were teens and I was helping the both of you study for your algebra midterms.” She chuckles at that, thinking warmly of it.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I’ll try to be better. ”

River’s tongue chooses right then to be better.

Lashing out deeply. Cruelly. Sending the biggest wave of pleasure through my body yet.

“Oh god ,” I blurt out, physically unable to stop it.

“I know, I know,” says Heather, misinterpreting, as she shakes her head. “Maybe it was something Brooke told me to do. To dig deeper inside of myself …”

River’s tongue digs deeper inside of me.

I’m panting.

I am literally panting.

And struggling with all my might to keep my face cool.

Like nothing at all is happening beneath my waist.

“… to really find it in my heart to let go of Theo. He is gone. He is living his life now. And … I have to accept that and allow our lives to adjust accordingly.”

I might actually come all down the side of the counter. But the way his tongue is teasing me keeps me right at the edge, barely not enough to spill me over. It’s deliriously pleasurable and cruel at the same time.

Heather steps away from the counter. “Keep up your hard work. I see your efforts. And they’re paying off. You might even be a better person without a guy in your life. I can even see it in your eyes right now, how much life is in them … how they just … burst with life.”

Shut up, Heather. I’m about to burst.

I’m about to burst everywhere .

“Love you, Finn. Get in touch with Malik.” She winks at me, proud of herself, then finally leaves the kitchen. And after seven excruciatingly long seconds, the sound of the back door shutting at her departure rings through the house.

River chooses that exact time to rise from the floor and spin me back around. “Now that was goddamned heaven.”

“ River! ” I hiss at him, keeping my voice down.

“I know, right?”

“ What the hell? ”

“Isn’t your heart racing?” He grabs my waist, drawing close. “Nothing quite like the danger of being caught.”

“Nothing quite as traumatizing as being caught, either. By my sister . With my pants down , I might add.”

“It was everything I dreamed of, by the way.”

That makes me pause. “You dreamed of rimming me?”

“Probably. For years. An ass like yours. Except I never had a chance. And hadn’t met you yet.

” He grins in that fun and mischievous way he does.

“Now I’ve met you. And I now know an ass like yours does exist, and I put my face right in it and am not mad about it.

By the way … you taste perfectly clean and …

just perfect . I could’ve stayed down there for hours. ”

I don’t know whether to be flattered, embarrassed, or just fall in love after a statement like that. Honestly, how I apparently taste might be the most surprising fact of all. I haven’t showered since this morning.

But on second thought, I am fairly thorough whenever I clean. Going to the gym as often as I do, I’m no stranger to showering multiple times a day and getting into every crack and crevice.

Crack and crevice?

Am I now obsessing too much over the cleanness of my asshole? Why has this never been something I’ve ever considered important?

Maybe because I can’t imagine even for a second Theo deigning to put his face anywhere near my ass.

Suddenly, the delightful act of rimming my hole just became another treasure I’ve been missing out on for years. A treasure I didn’t know I wanted.

“Are you a better person without a guy?” he asks me.

I come out of it. “What?”

“Your sister—Heather, not Welcome Basket Brooke—just said so. What do you think?”

“I don’t know what I … what I think. Heather has a lot of opinions. Too many.”

“So you think we should keep going?”

“What I think …” I pull my shorts back up. “… is we’d better go to my room before we get interrupted by the other sister also deciding to spontaneously catch us.”

“Nice call,” he says before stealing a kiss.

And another kiss.

And one more.

Then I race up the stairs with him, hand-in-hand, both of us still snatching kisses, as we head for my bedroom and peel off our clothes at the same time, ready to get it on at long last.

And we nearly make it—before the sight of Brooke at the end of the hall stops us cold, standing at the door to the game room with a big mug in her hand.

Her eyes snap to River’s.

She drops her mug.

There goes her jaw, too, dropping to the floor along with it.

Well, there’s no sense denying it now. “Not DiCaprio,” I say by way of introduction, gesturing at River, clenching shut my eyes.
