“A re you sure you want to do this?” Chrissy asked her brand-new husband as they stood out in front of the Thomas and Mack arena in Las Vegas where the National Finals Rodeo were being held.

“Yes.”

Ryder’s voice was firm and determined, and Chrissy fell a little more in love with him because she knew how hard it was for him to be there. “Let’s do this then.”

She hooked her arm through his and they headed toward the entry gate. They’d come to Vegas to elope. Her family knew about it and were fine with it. She hadn’t wanted to take the time to plan a big wedding. She’d done that before. She was more than ready to marry Ryder, and he felt the same.

The last couple of months had been a whirlwind of activity, with getting her mom settled into a new place in town.

The apartment was the perfect size for her and she was happy to be near her friends.

Ryder had become a partner in the flower farm, which had allowed them to get out of debt and update all the equipment to effectively run the greenhouses.

Ryder moved into the family home with her and they were doing some renovations to make it their own, including updating the basement, so Sunny could live there and have her own space while still being on the property.

Her middle sister was in her element and was showing Ryder the ins and outs of the farm, so that she could concentrate on her development of different flower varieties while Ryder handled the day-to-day maintenance.

Sunny still supervised when it came to cutting the flowers and the pruning that needed to be done, but her husband was happy and content.

The need to buy more of the Munro land wasn’t a part of Ryder anymore.

If, in the future, Ryder felt the need to buy a cattle ranch, Chrissy would support him, because fulfilling his dreams were as important to her as fulfilling her dreams had been important to her husband.

She was busy with the books and making sure the farm stayed in the black, but she was also getting more involved with other aspects of the farm and found that, while she didn’t have Sunny’s skills, her green thumb wasn’t as black as she thought it was.

They were about to go through the door when Chrissy stopped, causing Ryder to almost stumble.

“What?” he demanded. “Is everything okay?”

“Yes, I just wanted to do this.” Before Ryder could respond, she had her arms around him and her lips pressed against his.

God, she loved kissing this man. Loved everything about him. “I love you so much,” she said as she broke the kiss.

“I love you too. You make my life so much better than I imagined it ever could be.”

“Same. Now we can go in.”

Ryder laughed and grabbed her hand. She’d been given a second chance at love, one she’d never expected. Sometimes people used the old expression, “Everything’s coming up roses,” but with Ryder by her side, life was coming up chrysanthemums.

The End
