“I used to worry about what people thought about me,” he continued. “I can be a lot. I’m fully aware of that.”

“I think you’re brilliant.”

Scott’s eyes filled up. “And I think you are. Okay, I’ve been with…a few people. So what? I’m with you now and I’m the proudest man in Brighton.”

Prin kissed him. “The second proudest. I take the top spot.”

Scott rested his forehead against Prin’s. “Promise me you’ll talk to me if you get worked up again?”

“I promise.

“And one other thing?”

“I have no intention of breaking your heart. This isn’t just some diversion on my part anyway.”

Prin kissed Scott again. “Nor me.”

“Can I show you how much I like you?”

Prin took his hand. “You certainly can.”

Silently, they got off the sofa and Prin allowed himself to be led into his own bedroom. Once inside, Scott ran his finger along Prin’s cheek.

“You’ll realise that I’m the lucky one,” he said. “Eventually.”

They kissed. Scott’s lips were soft and gentle. Most of the other kisses had been full of passion and hunger. This time, something deeper was fuelling him.

When Scott rested his hand on Prin, it sent a shudder through his whole system. Not wanting to break the spell, he wrapped his arms around Scott’s waist. Even now that he’d experienced a naked Scott on multiple occasions, he still had waves of anticipation.
