“Don’t apologize.” Propping myself up on my elbow, I run a finger up and down Mia’s arm. “Do we have time to make this an extra good morning?”
“Unfortunately, no.” She rolls out of bed, grabbing her clothes from the floor. “I need to run errands before my shift. Plus, I have to stop and get coffee. Because you’re a crazy woman who doesn’t drink coffee. Just like, rawdoggs the morning.”
Crazy.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” I’m quick to say. “I could make you a chai latte.” Giving up coffee was one of the lifestyle changes I made after my…incident.
She scrunches her forehead. “Is it coffee?”
“No, it’s tea.”
She makes a face, pulling on her dress from last night. “Then no.”
“I don’t mind you leaving some stuff here, so you don’t have to recycle outfits,” I offer.
“That’s sweet,” she says, sliding into her sandals.
It’s not lost on me that she didn’t accept my offer, but before my mind runs away like a semi going down a mountain with faulty brakes, I say, “You want to hang after your shift?”
“I would, but I’ve got some family stuff.” Mia grabs her phone and drops it in her purse. “But I’ll see you tomorrow night at the poker party.”
“At Ace’s, right?” I confirm.
“Yeah. Wasn’t that the gym you and Gavin were talking about?”
Ugh, I hate that fuckboy keeps worming his way into my relationship.
And now into my dreams.
“Yep. You wanna ride together?” I crawl out of bed, wrapping myself in the blanket.
“I’ll just meet you there,” she’s quick to answer.
“You sure?” I ask, following her to the door.
“Yeah, I don’t know if we’ll wrap up at the same time,” she says.
“I don’t mind waiting.”
“Taylor, it’s fine. I’ll meet you there.” Mia’s voice has an edge of annoyance, and I drop the subject.
“Alright, gorgeous. See you tomorrow night.” I give her another kiss before she leaves, and I lock up behind her.
“Morning, Bonnie,” I tell my cactus, flipping on the kitchen light. “Did you hear all that? Was I being needy, or was Mia being weird?” Popping open my pill bottles, I down my morning regimen with a swig of water. “Yeah, I don’t know either,” I tell her.
“What am I doing today? I’m going to get ready for work. Not the Diamond, but my new part-time gig at the gym. Yes, I know, I’m supposed to relax on my days off, but how can I relax with all those?” I nod to the unopened bills.
Of course, Bonnie doesn’t answer. The day she does is the day my meds need adjusting.
Moving to my bathroom, I turn on the shower and strip, letting the water heat up before climbing inside. I’m antsy, and I decide a quick O would help.
Positioning the shower head to my clit, the pulsation does feel nice, but instead of thoughts of my girlfriend to help things along, my dream shoves its way front and center.
Gavin bent over, me about to make him my bitch…
I’ve never pegged a guy before. What would it be like? And to peg a cocky guy like Gavin? Making him my bitch? I bet that would be some heady stuff…
