Page 111 of Forgotten Comeback
Get over here already.
So you object?
About a hell of a lot, yes! I need to talk to you! Come over!!!
I now pronounce my right hand and my dick…
I object, you dickhead. Now come over!!!!!!!
I’m upstairs in your kitchen.
“Of course he is.” I yank my smock over my head and give it a toss, taking the stairs two at a time as my heartbeat flutters wildly.
Gavin’s seated on the counter, a pizza box and a bag of groceries by him. “My girl can’t eat healthy 24/7.” He begins pulling junk food out of the bag. “Chips. Ice cream. Donuts. Pick your poison.”
“Don’t ever use that phrase again.” I blanch.
He hops down, wrapping his arms around me. “I’m handling the Fabio problem.”
“How?” I look up at him.
“Let your man handle it.”
Gavin
Taylor shoves out of my hold; I let her. She paces the floor before stopping abruptly, holding up her hand stained with black paint. “We have to establish some ground rules. If you cheat on me, we’re done.”
My thumb runs across my lips, suppressing a grin. “Understood.”
She shakes her head. “So there’s no room for misunderstanding, by cheat, I mean kiss another woman. Oral sex with another woman. Vaginal sex with another woman.” She counts off on her fingers. “Anal sex with another woman. Digital penetration with another woman. Toy penetration with another woman. Phone sex with another woman. Sexting with another woman.” She pauses. “Any kind of sex with another woman not otherwise specified.”
“Sure you’re not a lawyer?” I lift an eyebrow.
“Gavin, I’m serious.” She crosses her arms.
“My dick, tongue, and fingers belong to you. Got it. What else?” I challenge.
“I’m bipolar,” she says softly. “I’m stable, although that’s been tested lately. But in the back of my mind, there’s the worry I’ll go off on another manic episode, like the one that landed me in the mental hospital.”
My heart’s pounding violently, but I keep my tone casual. “We’ll cross that bridge if we get to it.”
“I can be needy,” she continues, laying out a case against us. “I can’t stand being left on read. You’ll constantly have to reassure me about our relationship.”
“I’m happy to reassure you. Just say the word: my dick, my tongue, or my fingers.” I wag my eyebrows, shaking off the unease from a moment ago.
Taylor purses her lips, holding in a laugh. “Uh-huh. You do understand a relationship is about more than sex, right?”
“Sure, but I figure ‘out-of-this-world amazing’ sex can’t hurt. Your words.” I smile smugly.
She continues her verbal march. “You’re keeping secrets from me, and I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be okay with that.”
I raise my hands. “That’s another bridge we’ll cross when we get to it.”
“Sometimes I can be bitchy?—”
“Not my little sour puss.” I gasp.
“Dickhead,” she spits, and I chuckle. “Gavin, be serious for one minute.”
