Maggie
“H e obviously must think she’s still at the Omega Center,” Lachlan said. He was pacing the living room while Ben sat on the couch holding my hand and Soren stood by the front door. I was in Lucas’s lap, letting his scent calm my racing nerves.
“We have to keep it that way,” Ben said. “God, maybe she is safer there.”
“I’m right here, guys, please don’t refer to me in the third person,” I snapped.
“Sorry, sweetheart,” Ben murmured. “We’re just worried about you.”
“I’m not letting you out of my sight,” Lachlan growled.
“Fucking right,” Soren agreed.
“Okay, well, luckily for you, I don’t want to leave. But you are not going to lock me up like Greta,” I said.
Lachlan stopped pacing and looked guilty. “You’re right. I’m sorry.”
Soren grunted, but finally said, “Sorry, baby.”
“You’ll notice I didn’t say a thing about controlling you,” Lucas said smugly, and it defused my annoyance a little.
“Let’s just all remember that I can hold my own against that asshole when he’s not jumping out at me in the dark, okay?” That wasn’t exactly true, but whatever.
Lachlan resumed his pacing while everyone else sat silently.
“And she didn’t say anything else about other pack members?” Soren asked for at least the third time.
“No, we had like zero time. She just told me one of them was a cop named Todd and I put two and two together. She said she didn’t know about it beforehand, but honestly, I couldn’t blame her for being terrified either way. We know how much of a psycho Todd is,” I said.
“That leaves at least one other member. The other guy in the photo of her and Paul that she posted,” Soren said.
I nodded. It had been a shitty night. Any excitement that I’d felt at finding Greta had been replaced by anxiety as soon as we stepped into that bar bathroom. At least my ribs were barely twinging anymore.
Greta looked just as worried as she had at the jewelry store that day. Anyone who could scare their partner like that… I could believe it of Todd, though.
“I still want to know how he found out which Center you were at,” Lucas said.
“We didn’t find any holes in their security, and no evidence of any serious breaches. The NON doesn’t play around with cybersecurity,” Lachlan said.
“But it’s possible, right?” Ben asked.
“Sure, anything’s possible. But if there was an NON breach, we’d expect to see leaks of Maggie’s data online, or other Omegas, and there’s been nothing,” he answered.
“It’s much more likely that someone at the Center leaked the information. Maggie’s the only Omega being targeted? It’s personal,” Soren said. He finally sat down and shoved his hands through his hair.
“Well, that sucks,” I said. “But I might know who it was. There’s an Omega, Jess, at the Center that seems to really… hate me for some reason. She might’ve done it.”
“She knows where you are now, though?” Soren asked.
“Yeah, I think so,” I said, seeing where his train of thought was going. “So, if it was her, she’d probably already have told them I was living here with you guys.”
We lapsed into silence again. Now my head was starting to hurt.
“I think it’s still worth asking Jess about it,” I said.
“Let’s not jump the gun,” Soren said and I nodded. Even if Jess was a real prick, I didn’t want to accuse her of something with no evidence other than a bad attitude.
I stood up. “I’m going to bed,” I announced.
The guys all stood up, too, but suddenly the thought of sleeping alone, or even just with Ben, made me feel so lonely. I hesitated, and Lachlan must have seen something on my face.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
I nodded, then shook my head. “I don’t want to leave you guys.”
“No one’s going to make you leave,” Soren growled.
My heart was beating so hard and fast in my chest that I thought they might be able to see it under my skin. But my inner Omega was almost howling that I needed to have them all close. “No, I mean… tonight. I don’t want to be… alone,” I said.
Lucas smiled, catching on first. “You want a big ol’ puppy pile, sugar?”
“Yes, please,” I whispered.
After changing into my pajamas, we all trooped up to the third floor and stopped in front of the door to the Omega suite.
The guys were all wearing comfortable clothes, but I got the feeling that Lachlan had required them to wear more layers than normal to preserve the tenuous barrier we were keeping up.
I was terrified to go inside the suite. It would make this feel so much more permanent, even though part of me was still convinced I’d wake up tomorrow and discover all of them were just a dream.
Since when has being an Omega been a dream? I thought, surprised.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?” Ben asked.
I nodded, shoved down my hesitation, and finally opened the door. It was as beautiful and sumptuous as I remembered. I could not have felt more out of place.
I climbed into the massive bed. When I stretched out in the center, I let out a sigh, then rolled onto my side.
It was gloriously soft. Ben climbed in after me, curling around my back, while Lachlan was in front of me.
There was enough room that Lucas and Soren could rest comfortably on either side of them with room to spare.
I snuggled into the pillows to get comfortable.
Without me having to ask, Ben scooted in close to me. Soren shook his head and glowered at him. “She’s still injured. Remember that.”
“I will be a saint,” Ben replied, smiling.
Lachlan was lying on his back and staring at the ceiling. I reached out to stroke his arm with my finger. “Is this okay?” I asked tentatively.
He looked over at me. His expression was almost pained. “This is wonderful. The only issue is how much I want…” His eyes flickered between Ben and me. “I’ll be glad when your ribs are healed.”
I smiled mischievously. “What do you want so badly?” Ben shifted his hips away from me, trying to keep his hardening length a secret, but I followed him and pressed my ass against him.
Lachlan’s eyes darkened, flickering again to look at Ben before settling on me. “As soon as the doctor clears you, I’m going to show you exactly what I want.”
“Knock it off, all of you, before Maggie forgets that she’s got broken ribs ,” Lucas’s voice called from behind Ben. “Or I’ll have to kick you out of the good spots.”
“My ribs don’t even hurt that much anymore,” I lied.
Lachlan interlaced his fingers with mine and smiled. “This will do for now. ”
“We’re rotating sleeping positions tomorrow,” Soren grumbled.
“I’m sorry,” I said, leaning up slightly to look at him over Lachlan’s shoulder. “I only have so many sides of my body!”
Soren winked at me, and I relaxed knowing he was just joking.
Someone switched off the lights, and I let my eyes adjust to the darkness. Ben was still curled behind me. “Tease,” he breathed in my ear, and I suppressed a laugh. He pressed his hips into me one last time before pulling away slightly.
I fully expected to lie awake for a long time because of the strangeness of being in bed with four large men. But the mixture of all their scents was perfect. Something inside me settled. I drifted off feeling a profound sense of harmony.
I woke up with Ben’s dick pressing into my butt and Lachlan’s arm draped across me. The blankets had been kicked down in the night. Lachlan had rolled closer and thrown an arm across me so his hand was resting on Ben’s hip.
As I stirred, both of them pressed even closer, and Lachlan’s hand gripped Ben’s hip slightly.
I felt a rush of heat at the sight. I let myself fantasize about these two Alphas together, pleasing each other while they worshipped me.
I knew Ben was bi, but I had no idea about Lachlan.
Had the two of them ever hooked up over the years?
My scent kicked up as my thoughts turned dirtier, flooding the room in spiced peaches.
That only made the guys press closer again.
If only I didn’t desperately need to pee, I would have taken the opportunity to finally get my hands on someone . Even if the thought terrified me as much as it thrilled me.
I lifted my head off the pillow slightly to take in my escape routes to the bathroom.
Lucas and Soren had also moved in closer during the night. Lucas was back-to-back with Ben, and Soren was sprawled on his back mere inches from Lachlan.
I eased myself up, trying to move as slowly as possible, but no luck.
“No,” Lachlan murmured in his sleep and pulled Ben and me both closer to him. He insinuated a leg between my thighs and his cock pressed against my hip. His hand was now basically cupping Ben’s ass.
Fucking tiny bladder , I thought angrily and moved with more purpose. Luckily, neither of them woke up, and I returned as quickly as possible to the warm cocoon between them. Unluckily, a phone alarm sounded from the jumble on the nightstand right as I got comfortable again.
“Damn it,” Ben groaned from behind me. Lachlan woke up and looked almost startled to find himself so close to me.
“Whose alarm is that?” Soren asked, his voice rough with sleep.
“Ben’s,” Lucas said. “It’s 6:30.”
“Shit, I have an early client,” Ben groaned in my ear.
“I might as well go start the coffee,” Lucas said.
I moaned in frustration. “Don’t any of you sleep in? Ever?”
Lucas, Ben, and Soren filtered out of the room, arguing sleepily, leaving Lachlan and me alone in the bed.
“Hi,” I said quietly, smiling slightly.
“Good morning,” he said, his voice gravelly with sleep, but he smiled back.
“This is pretty nice,” I said.
“What?”
“Waking up next to you guys.”
Lachlan pulled me into his chest as an emotion I couldn’t quite read shone in his eyes. “It’s pretty nice,” he agreed.
We lay for a moment, breathing in each other’s scents before getting up to start the day.
