Page 93 of First Offense
Raven purred for Sorin and Zian.
I always tried to disappear when that happened.
But Layla… if she issued a purr, I would absolutely stay. Ignoring a female in need resulted in pain unlike any other. Or that was what I’d been told, anyway.
I studied her, waiting for her to call me with that delectable sound. But all she did was sigh.
Auric growled, low and ominous, capturing my attention.
A challenge scented the air, his wings ruffling a bit at his back. Then he leaned down to press a kiss to her pulse.
My abdomen clenched in response. I wanted to do that, to kiss her pulse, lick her neck, nibble her jaw, claim her mouth. And I wanted him to watch me as I did it.
Just as I wanted to watch him take her.
Afterward, we’d both claim her irrevocably. One at the front, one at the back, pumping into her, giving her everything we had to offer and ensuring she took us all to oblivion.
It wouldn’t be kind.
It wouldn’t be gentle.
It would animalistic. Savage.Intense.
She would shatter, and we’d put her back together again. Auric would hold her through her climax, then force me to lick her clean.
I’d draw out another orgasm just to hear my name from her sweet lips. Then I’d kiss her until she passed out in our arms.
A brutal mating. Perfect. Rapturous.Ours.
Auric growled again, the sound low and intoxicating. He knew what I wanted. He knew what I was thinking. He knew what I intended to have happen between us.
He could fight it all he wanted. He could fight me. He could fight Layla. He could demand us all to behave and kneel.
But in the end, he would capitulate.
He would bow.
He would beg.
And our future queen would own us both.
I let him see that knowledge in my eyes, and then I underlined our fate with a slight tilt of my lips.I vow this will happen, I was telling him.Just let me know when you’re ready.
His glare told me to fuck off.
My smirk told him no.
And so we battled with our eyes, an entire war raging between us while our angel slept peacefully between us, none the wiser of her eventual fall. I didn’t mean the negative kind that painted her wings black—she’d already experienced that. I meant the fall where she submitted to us both and allowed destiny to guide her.
Ours, I said to Auric now.She will always be ours.
Mine, his eyes said as he kissed her neck once more.
Ours,I corrected with a mere smile.You’ll see.
Then I allowed myself to sleep.
And dreamt of bright blue eyes framed by fuchsia strands.
