“Where are you going?” Alex didn’t budge.

“To get my things from my room.”

“You may wanna stay away from that room for a time.”

“Why is that?”

“It’s being used.”

He was incredulous. “Dan let someone fuck in my room?”

“It's notyourroom. It's a guest room.”

“My things are in there.”

“Trust me, they ain’t interested in your things.”

Squeezing past Alex, he headed for theguestroom. Opening the door, he raised his eyes and froze, blinking and hoping the image would clear and his memory would erase the eyeful he’d gotten.

Dan was sprawled on the bed with his shirt unbuttoned and his pants down. A blonde with long hair, naked as on the day she was born, moved her head rhythmically blowing him with gusto.

A small armchair in the corner was occupied by Dan’s friend Jeff Anderson lip-locked with another blond, this one with short spiky hair, the pair petting each other below the belt level. The short-haired blonde stiffened and looked at him with alarm; the rest of them didn’t even flinch.

Struck stupid by the sight of an orgy, Cade stood there, rooted to the spot as a disturbing feeling slithered up his chest.

“So you like to watch, hmm?" Dan’s eyes were at half-mast and he shifted slightly for a better angle. "You can, I don’t mind. She's good… ”

His honey didn’t miss a bit, sucking him in tact with the energizing tune about summertime and a baby having fun with her man.

The floor tilted under Cade’s feet.

In two strides he reached the portable speaker and ripped the cord out of it.

“The party’s over. Get the fuck out.”

The short-haired girl stiffened again.

“Don’t worry, love, we don’t have to leave.” Jeff murmured coaxing her back into the mood and guiding her hand into his pants.

Like hell they didn’t. “Out. Now.”

Irrational anger lapped at him in hot waves. He picked up clothes thrown around on the floor, wadded them up and threw them at the long-haired vacuum cleaner, hitting her square on her upturned rump. She jerked and Dan yelped.

“Oh, Danny,” she slurred, looking up at Dan. “Who is he?”

Dan threw him a dirty look. “That’s my brother, sugar. Don't mind him, he's harmless… Ouch!”

Before Dan finished the sentence, Cade was standing over the bed and fisting a handful of Dan's hair, forcing him to look him in the face. “You tell them to leave, or I’ll throw them out.”

He let him go and moved away, quickly putting some distance between him and the naked couple, disgusted with the whole display. The disturbing feeling blossomed, spread.

Jeff’s girl grew progressively more alarmed. Foreplay forgotten, she was looking at him like he was tuning into Leatherface right before her eyes.

“Um, maybe we should go… I mean, it’s kinda not fun anymore. Let’s go to another place?”

Jeff sat up, annoyed. “You know, Cade, maybe you outta get laid more often. Does wonders for shitty dispositions like yours." He peered at him closely and something in his face must've alerted him. "And I'm warning you, you get physical - I’m gonna press charges and nail your sorry ass for assault.”

“Gonna be inconvenient to do from a hospital bed.”
