Chapter 6:Xuag

“ T he oath is sealed and you may begin courting.”

“Thank you, Arietta. You may go,” I say, dismissing the resident witch and turning to Kyliana.

“I have an outing prepared for us. I assume you aren’t a normal princess who likes walks in the garden and flowers as a gift?” I raise my eyebrow at her, knowing I’m right before she utters a word.

“You’re correct. I’m not like other princesses so unless you have a hunt planned, I don’t think I’ll enjoy this.”

“Oh, you will. This isn’t some calm, classy date. Follow me.”

I turn abruptly, refusing to give her time to argue with me, knowing she will enjoy what I have planned. As we get close to the cliffside, I pause and turn to her.

“Close your eyes and walk straight forward. I will guide you.”

“I think I’d rather walk off the cliff than do that.”

“Princess, we literally just did the Oath, I couldn’t harm you if I wanted to. Stop being a pain in the ass and come on.” I nudge her to claim the closest spot and wait for the pieces to move into their places, her closed eyes wreaking havoc on me as I picture what it would be like to have her eyes closed while her mouth swallows my dicks. As the final preparations are completed, I allow her to uncover her eyes, and my suspicions are confirmed as her eyes light up with the light of a thousand suns. “I know your kind typically feast on children but my sources say you refuse and prefer to feast on the souls of men. There are seven prisoners lined up before you, all of them the most vile we have ever seen. Each of them has committed a crime against children and has been proven guilty. As their punishment, we now get to axe throw and use them as targets and when we’re done, you can feast on them until you’re overflowing.” “Holy fuck. I didn’t think a perfect date existed but here it is. Can I go first?” She asks, scooping up an axe and passing it hand to hand. I don’t keep her waiting as I nod my approval.

She hoists the axe over her shoulder with both hands and throws it with deadly precision at the first prisoner who falls with a brief scream of agony before he is silent again, blood pooling around him. She prepares to throw another axe but pauses.

“Do you want a turn?” Her smile buries itself deep in my soul, settling right next to the constant pull I feel for her and I’m sure I will never be able to remove her from the very essence of my being.

“Sure, Princess but you get to keep the spoils,” I conceded, grabbing the axe from her outstretched hand and hurling at the next prisoner, a guttural scream signaling that I’ve hit my mark. Kyli bounces up and down, excitedly cheering as the scum bleeds from the wound in his chest and takes his last breath. Her musical laugh is filling up the garden practice field and burning itself into my memory, the sound making both of my dicks grow hard and the bond between us pull harder to encase us in its will. Mate bonds are fucking assholes.

I pull another axe from the basket and hand it to her, our hands touching and a zip of electricity shoots up my arm again. I am frozen in this moment, her wide eyes echoing the fears, surprise, and hope in my own. She shutters her expression, bringing her usual lack of emotion back and snatches the axe from me, turning and throwing it. She hits her mark and waits as I do the same with my next target. She picks up the final axe, throwing it with a scream of rage and I am encapsulated in this moment.

She approaches each of the dead victims one at a time, sitting on their chests and placing her hands on either side of their faces and kissing them before pulling her face back slowly, a golden thread flowing between them as she devours their souls. Her hair as dark as shadows as it drifts around her in a current of magic so strong, it nearly pulls me to her, my sheer size keeping my feet planted firmly on the ground. She finishes with the final prisoner and stands and makes her way over to me, her silver eyes shining gold from the power. Wiping the edges of her mouth with her thumb, she leans close to my ear and whispers,

“Thank you for that meal, it was perfect in every way. Is this date over?”

My heart fractures at the thought of ending this date and having to call my sex slave to take the edge off of the massive boner she’s given me.

“Do you want this date to end?”

She hesitates before shaking her head with a devious smile playing on her lips.

“You’re a dark abyss of alluring strength, do you know that?”

A smirk plays on her lips as she leans in close.

“I’m a dark dark abyss but I’m a cute dark abyss so it’s okay,” she says, licking her lips as her succubus half comes out to play after being fed. Her human half seems to recede as her eyes grow colder, more calculating. She leans in and my breath hitches in anticipation of the electric I know we will feel when our lips touch.

“Excuse me, sire. Leopold is here to see you and says it is urgent,” Urzog announces, a look of disgust on his face at catching us so close together. What the fuck does the Alpha wolf want? He only comes here if it’s important. Fuck.

“Princess, I have to go. Have dinner with me tonight.”

“Sire, you have an important dinner tonight with your counsel,” Urzog interrupts as Kyliana begins to speak and defeat clouds her expression.

“It’s fine. I’ll have dinner in my room.” She doesn’t give me time to reply before she’s darting off like she can’t wait to be rid of me and hurt bubbles up within me. I know mate bonds can make you grow attachments quickly but this is much stronger than I could have imagined.

“Sire, we really must go. We don’t want to keep him waiting.” A growl of frustration rips from my throat and Urzog flinches. Good, he should be scared, especially if I find out that he is my traitor.
