SIX

JOSIE

I press my lips together, desperately trying to swallow the scream of pure pleasure building. Theo gently presses his fingers against me, rubbing slowly in soft, pressured circles, matching the pace of his unhurried thrusts.

“Let it out, baby,” he coaxes. “I want to hear every sound you make.”

I shoot up as if I’ve been electrocuted. The sudden movement makes me nauseous, a hangover announcing its presence. I’m really hoping I’m only having a sex dream and not replaying last night’s events in my head. I sneakily peek an eye open to see if I’m alone in my bed. No. No, I am not. According to my now-confirmed, actually very real sex dream, this means that Theo and I had sex. Everywhere. On the kitchen table. On the couch. On the floor. On my bed.

Bloody fucking hell.

How did the night go from telling Theo that I didn’t name my boobs to letting him lick and tease them for hours? Damn tequila. I check the time on my phone and cringe at the brightness of my screen. It’s only five thirty a.m. Rolling over, I grab Advil from my nightstand and quickly dry swallow two pills.

I take a moment to look at Theo as I snuggle back under the covers. It’s not that I’ve never noticed how great his body is—he walks around shirtless enough—but I’ve never allowed myself to truly appreciate it. Now that he’s naked and in my bed…? I’m studying him like he’s the Mona Lisa and I’m a graduate student writing my dissertation on da Vinci.

Every muscle in his long, lean body is sculpted to perfection. It’s like someone took a block of marble and chiseled it down until Theo Walker emerged. I fight the urge to run my hand over the curve of his back. There’s something extremely vulnerable about seeing a grown, naked man sleeping soundly, completely unaware that my childhood stuffed animal is hidden under the pillow his head is resting on.

Shutting my eyes again, I will my body to fall back asleep. I’m drifting off when a warm body spoons mine from behind, a muscular forearm wrapping itself around my waist. Theo’s hand crawls up my stomach, finally resting once my left breast is sitting nicely in his palm. I can’t help but let out a quiet laugh. Even while asleep and snoring softly, he’s still a boob guy.

Theo licks the valley between my breasts, groaning in appreciation. “I’m naming your tits Tom and Jerry.”

My laughter turns to whimpers as Theo glides his tongue over one nipple, while gently toying with the other. I arch my back, thrusting them upward and further into his mouth and hand.

I open my eyes a few hours later to find a handsome face inches from mine. How is it humanly possible that Theo looks good hungover? The morning light gives his long body and sleek muscles a warm glow. He’s so gorgeous, it’s painful. Or maybe that’s just the hangover. I don’t know at this point.

“Morning, princess,” he greets me with a lazy smile. “Sleep well?”

A lightning bolt travels straight down to my core at the memory of that smile looking down at me as he rocked into me over and over again.

“Mm-hmm,” I mumble. “Do you know what time it is?”

Theo glances down at his watch—the only item on his body besides his socks—and tells me it’s nine-fifty-five a.m. I hop out of bed like someone lit a fire under my arse and quickly grab jeans and a sweater from the top of my clean laundry pile. He watches me with interest, clearly unbothered by the entire situation. Glancing at myself in the mirror, I notice the hickeys covering my chest and neck like a constellation.

“Fuck,” Theo moans before biting into my neck. He pumps into me with long, greedy strokes that make my body buzz as if I’ve just had four consecutive energy drinks. “You were so worth the wait, baby. So goddamn worth it.”

“Christ.” I peel off the sweater and exchange it for a turtleneck. “Are you a vampire?”

He grins, clearly pleased with his handiwork. “Have somewhere to be?”

“Yes.” I spray some perfume on my wrists, rubbing them together. “Brunch with my mum, then filming a teaser video with Ella for her podcast later.”

“Ohh! What’re you going to tell Goldy about my dick?” Theo asks, clasping his hands behind his neck. “That it’s everything you’ve imagined and more?”

My eyes bulge out of my head. He’s huffing paint if he thinks anyone is finding out about this. Ever. I’m locking this in the vault and throwing said vault into the Thames River. Focusing on myself does not include sleeping with one of my closest friends, and the last thing I need is unsolicited opinions or commentary from anyone.

“First of all, don’t flatter yourself. I’ve never imagined your dick, babes. And second, Ella won’t be hearing anything.”

“Don’t girls talk about this sort of thing?”

“Theo,” I tell him in all seriousness, “last night was fun, but it’s staying between us. Seriously.”

He pouts like I’ve just taken away his favorite toy, so I spin around on my heel and narrow my eyes to reiterate how serious I am. It’s hard to avoid looking at his dick, which is still on full display—and is just as perfectly sculpted as the rest of his body. I never thought I’d describe a penis as beautiful, but his really is. Ugh. Theo needs to leave sooner rather than later so I can freak out over this entire situation in private . Why can’t I even do rebound sex right? Have I learned nothing from listening to Dating and Dildos ? Rebound sex is supposed to be with some random bloke I meet at the bar, not someone I genuinely care for and enjoy spending time with. That’s how feelings develop.

“Who cares if people know?” he continues. “It’s just sex. Not a big deal.”

“Agreed.” I shake my head. “Not a big deal. So no one has to know about it.”

“Wait… Holy shit.” He sits up and blinks in a puzzled fashion. “Are you embarrassed?”

His jaw springs open when I fail to correct him.

“Sleeping with me is embarrassing ?”

“I don’t like being one of your… bimbos.” Bimbos? Who says bimbo anymore? “And I don’t want people to make a thing out of this. It happened, but it’s done, so things are going to go back to normal now.”

God knows how we can ever go back to normal after sex that makes me want to sing Drake’s “Best I Ever Had,” but now is not the time to dwell on that. I search my floor to find his briefs. He needs to cover himself up because I’m dealing with too much right now to also deal with that . Clothes are strewn all over my floor in a haphazard manner, but I finally find them under the dress I wore last night. I avoid eye contact with his nether regions while I hand them over. “Can you put these on, please?”

“Are you kicking me out?” he asks in wide-eyed surprise. “Seriously?”

“Did you want to stay and cuddle?” I laugh with an eye roll. “Yes, I’m kicking you out, Theo. Although you’re making it hard.”

“You make me hard.”

I lick the inside of his left thigh, watching as he twitches with anticipation. Teasing him, I take my time committing the shape and feel of his balls to memory. When I finally take him in my mouth, he shudders deeply and runs his fingers through my messy hair.

“Clothes.” I shove his pants at him. “Now.”

I’m too focused on the way his butt looks to care about his grumbling as he tugs on the rest of his clothes. Now I understand why he refers to himself as a fine piece of ass. I’m not one to objectify a man’s body, but here I am, practically drooling over Theo’s squeezable butt. I’m never drinking tequila again because it’s taking the full blame for how the entire night unfolded.

Theo finishes getting dressed so I can look in his direction without blushing. Well, sort of. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at him again without the image of his forehead creasing in concentration and his eyes darkening in pleasure. Nope. He needs to leave immediately.

“Don’t feel weird, Jos.” He winks at me. “Now we just know what the other looks like while finishing. No harm, no foul.”

A familiar tightening grips my stomach as my breathing gets caught in my throat. Oh, God. How is it possible to orgasm so many times? The gasps slipping through my lips are borderline hyperventilation.

“You going to come for me again, baby?” Theo asks, dusting his lips against my collarbone. “Such a good girl.”

“How do you know I wasn’t faking it?” I challenge.

I’ve faked my fair share of orgasms over the years, although last night was not one of those times. Most guys I’ve slept with either are too focused on their own selfish pleasure to care if I finish, or they turn into an arse once they realize that they haven’t made me come at all. Enter the big, fat, fake O.

“Well, I’m assuming you weren’t having an exorcism.” He smirks. “So you tell me.”

I groan into my hands as my stomach sinks. “Christ, Theo, way to not make this weird.”

“You’re really that bothered by this?” A frown crosses his lips. “All right, well, we can, uh… pretend it never happened.”

“Yeah?” It’s pathetic how hopeful I sound. “Really?”

“Sure.” He shrugs. “It’s going to be hard, though.”

“Why?”

He smiles disarmingly and a new flush of desire heats my skin. “You may act like an angel, but last night you rode me like the devil straight on her way to hell.”

I’m stunned silent. He chuckles and brushes his soft lips against my forehead. Now why did he have to go and do that? I’m a sucker for forehead kisses. One-night stands aren’t supposed to give you forehead kisses, boyfriends are. Theo’s neither of those; he’s my friend. Except now, he’s a friend I’ve slept with.

“See you at the race next weekend, angel.” Theo shoots me a knowing wink before the door closes with him on the other side of it.

He’s right about one thing. I’m definitely the devil because the thoughts I’m having about last night are ensuring my entry to Hell.
