CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Five years ago

“So, I hear you like to touch on little girls, Jason. And not just any little girl, but your own fucking daughter,” I spit at the man currently strapped to a table.

“N-n-n-no, please, man. I have no idea what you’re talking about!” he cries, tears and snot running down his face.

“No? Jason Butcher, 46, lives in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a mechanic at Wheel Be Alright Auto. Is that not you?” I ask.

“I m-m-mean, yeah. But I haven’t touched my daughter, man! Please, you have to believe me! She doesn’t know what she’s talking about! She’s only six!”

I slam my fist into his face before he has the chance to speak again, hearing the delicious sound of a breaking bone.

“FUCK. Please! Please, let me go! I promise I won’t do it again. I won’t touch her. I won’t say anything about this. I promise. Just please let me go.

A loud chuckle escapes me, and I stare at him dead in the eyes.

“I’m sorry. No can do. You see, I’ve been hired to do a job.

By your wife, actually. Like a good mother, she believed her daughter when she told her what happened.

What you did to her. Now, while I know she would love to do this herself, she can’t.

So that’s where I come in… She paid me pretty handsomely to take care of you, and I fully intend on keeping that promise.

His tear-streaked face suddenly turns stone-cold, and his body stills, no longer fighting his restraints.

“Janet hired you?! That fucking BITCH. I should have killed her when I had the chance. Bitch has been testing my patience for years now. I never really wanted the little brat. All she did was fuck up my wife’s body.

Ha, I’ve been fucking around on her for years.

But when sweet little Macy turned six, I just knew… ”

His words are cut off by the sounds of gargling. I watch Jason as he chokes on his own blood, the sight of the fresh slash across his throat bringing a smile to my face. I couldn’t stand another second of this monster’s ramblings. He’ll get what is coming to him in Hell.

As I watch the blood pool on top of the table, my phone suddenly vibrates, and I pull it from my pocket, checking the caller ID. When I see David’s name pop up, I answer it.

“Hey, David. What do you have for me?”

David is my right-hand man. Well, when it comes to the research aspect.

He is the man who scours the dark web, looking for jobs for me to complete.

I met him while scouring the dark web. I let him know what my intentions were, and he offered his tech services to the cause.

He’s also been searching for my little lioness, but so far, he hasn’t come up with anything.

“I got her. She’s in a small town in Colorado called Cedar Valley. I’m sending you her address now. By the way, how’s it going with Jason?”

I grin, glancing over at the man currently lifeless on the table.

“He’s indisposed at the moment,” I say with a laugh.

“Good, that sick fuck. I’ll follow up with Janet to let her know the task has been completed. I’m currently looking for your next target. I figured you would want to pay a visit to Nikki first,” he tells me.

“Thanks, David. I appreciate your hard work.”

“No problem, boss,” he says before promptly disconnecting the call.

I slide the phone back into my pocket and get to work cleaning up this mess. I just so happened to have found an old, abandoned crematorium to conduct this business in, so I toss Jason into the cremation chamber and set his body on fire before cleaning up the rest of the mess.

Once I’m satisfied with how things look, ensuring no DNA is left behind, I gather my tools and head out.

I’ve got a woman to stalk.
