Chapter 41
A llie’s reaction is something I never could have expected. I thought she would beg for his life. Instead, she gave me more ammunition to use against the sick bastard chained to my basement wall.
“I think she’s just given us her seal of approval, right, babe?”
“Yeah, I’d say she did,” Eli taunts.
Grabbing a bat off the wall, I stroll toward Dalton. His eyes bulge. It's not just any baseball bat—it's a design I created, something that looks like the spiked bat from The Walking Dead TV series, affectionately known as Lucille.
Negan would be proud of my baby Lucy. She’s beautiful. The metal gleams devilishly in the light as I admire my creation, the spikes protruding with menace from the barrel. The unyielding weight of it is oddly reassuring, and it feels as if it belongs in my hands, like an extension of myself. I’ve been waiting a long time to unleash Lucy—she's dangerous, lethal, and all mine.
“Please, please don't,” Dalton begs, tears and snot running down his face .
“Is that what Allie said? Did she beg you to stop?”
“I bet she did, but did you listen? No.” I swing the bat, the satisfying crunch as it connects with Dalton’s left knee ringing in the air. Blood oozes from the punctured, flayed skin.
He howls loudly, and Eli watches me with an intensity that floods my system with more euphoria than I ever thought possible.
“You know, I played softball when I was younger, but this is way more fun.”
“You are fucking crazy, b—”
Eli grabs Dalton by the neck in a chokehold silencing him. “I suggest you don’t finish that fucking sentence, D.”
Dalton struggles to breathe, turning purple before Eli lets him go. My God, that was fucking hot. I clench my thighs together.
“I’m a righty, but I always thought I could be ambidextrous,” I muse, winding up for a left-handed swing toward his right kneecap. “Yeah, I think so.”
Dalton sobs, looking down at his shattered kneecaps. I’ve never been particularly violent, preferring less aggressive methods with my victims. But this? This is cathartic.
“Tell me how you hurt Allie. I saw the bruises. Did you punch her in the abdomen, or slam her into the countertop?” I whirl the bat around, landing the blow to his abdomen, and I grin at the blood pours from his shredded skin. “I guess it doesn’t matter. You’re about to feel much worse.” Dalton screams, the sound grating and relentless.
“Christ, you are such a pathetic excuse for a man.” I motion for Eli to grab a gag off the wall so he can shove it into Dalton’s mouth.
“As much as I enjoy hearing you scream, you’re giving me a headache.” I cock my head, smiling coldly. “Speaking of headaches. Did you notice the damage you did to Allie’s face? You could have killed her. But that was the plan, wasn’t it? She realized what kind of monster you are, and you had no qualms about ending her life.”
I stare at Dalton, but he’s no longer looking at me, his eyes are unfocused, his breath is ragged, and his shoulders are slumped. Blood drips from his legs, pooling on the floor in a crimson puddle.
“Well, I have no qualms about ending yours, douchebag,” I say, lifting the bat. All the anger that has built up in me is now at its peak, spilling over uncontrollably, as I bring it down hard on the side of his head. Again. And again.
“I think you got him, Little Killer.” Eli smirks, bringing me out of my daze, and that’s when I realize tears are streaming down my cheeks. He takes the bat from my hands, and I look back at what remains of Dalton Jones.
I take a deep, steadying breath before turning to Eli. “Can I borrow your boat?”
While Eli is gone to grab the boat, I shower and order pizza. Allie sits curled up on the couch, a glass of wine in her hands. The television plays a sitcom, but she’s not watching it. She’s withdrawn into herself, and I’m starting to get really concerned about her. I couldn’t get her to eat anything, but I leave a plate beside her anyway. She loves pizza as much as I do.
All I can do is be here for her when she’s ready to talk .
I hear the roar of a boat engine and walk outside, watching Eli tie it up to the post on the dock. As he walks closer, the fresh scent of soap wafts toward me. I pause to inhale his fragrance.
“Hi, handsome.” I smile shyly as he cups my cheek and drops his lips to mine. Eli deepens the kiss, before nipping my bottom lip, and I whimper. He wraps his other arm around me, pulling me closer, and I shamelessly press against his growing erection. I need to have him, and I need to have him now.
“Are you soaking wet for me, baby?” he groans, his lips moving to my neck. He kisses and sucks his way down until he takes my hard nipple into his mouth.
“Y-yes,” I gasp, arching my back to give him better access. His teeth clamp down, and I feel a rush of pain mixed with pleasure.
“Oh, my god.”
“I need to taste you, baby.” His words send shivers through me, and my knees weaken. I’ve never experienced pleasure like this before, this instantaneous mixture of lust and deep emotional connection.
Pausing abruptly, “Wait! Allie...”
Understanding dawns in his eyes and he grabs my hand, pulling me toward the boat dock. We giggle like a pair of teenagers, stopping every few moments to kiss, we can’t keep our hands off each other. Safely out of sight from the house, Eli presses my back against the railing, a slight breeze from the lake teases my skin.
He pulls my leggings and panties down, exposing me, and I spread my legs open for him, feeling completely unashamed. I’ve never considered myself an exhibitionist, but the idea of someone watching us excites me more than I can explain. Eli is awakening things in me I never knew I wanted .
He drops to his knees, gazing up at me in awe.
“That’s my pretty pink pussy,” he moans, a guttural sound escaping his throat.
His tongue flicks my clit, and my knees threaten to buckle under me. He feasts on me like a starving man.
"Yes, oh yes, just like that.” I grab his hair, pulling his face closer.
“You taste like pure heaven.”
He sucks my clit into his mouth as he thrusts two fingers deep inside me. His mouth works its magic, and his fingers curl into me, hitting just the right spot. I feel my orgasm building rapidly. The tension snaps, and I scream his name as I ride out the waves of pleasure that only he can give me.
His tongue licks up my essence, helping me come back down slowly.
The high I feel right now is like nothing else. I don’t know if it’s the combination of the kill and Eli consuming me—worshiping my body—but I’ve never felt so euphoric.
He slides my panties and leggings back up. “Wait, what about you?”
“This wasn’t about me, Little Killer. This was all for you. I see you, Tessa, all of you. And you're all I've ever wanted, and more.”
I swallow hard, tears threatening to fall. He presses a kiss to my lips.
“But you can thank me later,” he winks, standing back up. I slap him playfully and giggle as he tosses me over his shoulder, carrying me inside. We wait until dusk before leaving. I sent Eli to grab some items we’ll need from my shed. We’ve already loaded up some fishing poles, just in case we meet anyone else out on the lake .
I find Allie passed out on the couch, an empty wine bottle beside her, and the uneaten pizza still on the end table. Sighing, I cover her with a throw.
When Eli returns, I motion for him to be quiet. Dalton is wrapped in a tarp, secured with rope. I don’t want Allie to witness us carrying out her dead boyfriend.
Once Dalton’s secured in the boat, we head out onto the lake, traveling several miles away from the more populated areas.
“This is a good spot, I think,” Eli says. He picks up the anvil from the back of the boat. “Jesus, this thing is heavy. Where did it even come from?”
“The previous owner, I guess,” I shrug.
Together, we chain Dalton to the weight and toss him into the water. I watch as he sinks below the surface, ripples and bubbles rising as his body is pulled down into the deepest part of the lake.
“See you in hell, you fucking bastard.” I mutter, unable to feel even an ounce of regret.
The ride back is uneventful. After ensuring all the evidence is gone, I rest my head on Eli’s shoulder as we slowly head back to his house. The breeze runs through my hair, and I sigh, completely relaxed, knowing I’ve found my happy place. Eli is home to me, my safe space. I’ll never let him go.
