FOUR
SERA
The amount of care and attention I received from James could almost be considered scary. It was such a drastic change from anything I’d ever had with Micheal that I was in shock.
After James had given me the third most amazing orgasm of my life, all of which occurred in the last few hours, he’d washed out my hair and helped me out of the tub. Leaving me to dry myself off, he stepped out of the bathroom and into the main bedroom that was intended to be for Danielle and me.
I wrapped the towel around myself, then placed my hair up in a towel of its own, pausing when I walked out.
The bedroom had been somewhat transformed.
The scent of mahogany and sandalwood filled the air, and I spotted at least four candles that had been placed in various corners.
The bedding had been straightened out, my book neatly placed on one pillow, mirroring the book I knew James had been reading, SKIN by Sybil Knight.
Off on the far side of the room, James stood at the window, adjusting the blackout curtains before turning to glance in my direction as the bathroom door shut behind me.
“Well, aren’t you a romantic soul, Mr. Mustang?” I said in a flirtatious tone, addressing him by his social media alias while looking him over.
He had changed into a pair of silky black underwear with the United States Marine Corps emblem on them. Apart from that, the man was completely nude, and I could not help but take him in.
James stood at 6’4” with an athletic build, covered in tattoos from his neck to his feet.
He kept his hair cut short—very military style—and his beard trimmed.
The man looked like a modern day Viking god covered in hair, tattoos, and muscle.
His features the perfect blend of Clint Eastwood, Bradley Cooper, and Tom Hardy.
He smirked, and I cursed my lustful body for pulsing for the man again, after he’d already gotten me off three times in one night.
“I figured we could wind down proper, cozy up in bed together, and read our books. I put your bookmark back where it should be, by the way.” He chuckled.
“Well, thank you for that. Though I don’t think I’ll be able to enjoy another masked man scene quite as much now. Not that I’m complaining, of course.” I laughed, pulling the covers back on the bed and picking up my book.
James climbed in beside me, doing the same before reaching one arm out to pull me in close. “Good, because I’m not apologizing one bit.”
He opened his book, able to comfortably hold it and turn the pages in one of his massive hands. Meanwhile, I made myself at home in his opposite arm, propping my book up above my face. This felt so foreign but natural at the same time.
SUNDAY
When I opened my eyes, the sunlight was just barely starting to creep in through the curtains.
Rolling over expecting to see James still asleep beside me, I was surprised to find him not only gone but his side of the bed perfectly made as if no one had ever been there.
Mildly alarmed, I sat up and looked around the room.
There was no physical trace of the man. The only evidence that I hadn’t lost my mind was the warm woodland scent of his cologne in the air.
I climbed off the bed, put on some black Gymshark leggings and an oversized black hoodie from my luggage, and left the bedroom in search of my masked man.
As I opened the bedroom door, it became apparent where I would find him.
The sweet aroma of bacon cooking greeted me as I moved to the steps and down the stairs.
Turning into the kitchen, I spotted him standing in front of the stove, wearing faded blue jeans and a white T-shirt that hugged his chest, his tattooed arms the perfect complement.
“Wasn’t sure how much longer you’d be sleeping. Figured sunrise was a safe bet,” he said, flipping the bacon over piece by piece with a fork. He hadn’t even looked over a shoulder, clearly having heard me come down the stairs.
“How long have you been awake?” I said, rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I sat down on one of the kitchen bar stools.
He walked over to the toaster, dropped two slices in, and pushed the lever down. “Little more than an hour I’d expect. I’m used to waking up before the sun—ranch life and all. So I went out and moved my truck up in front of the cabin and figured I’d fix up some breakfast for us.”
The toast popped up a moment later and he started serving the food, bringing a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast over to me first. Setting it down in front of me before joining me with his own .
“Well, thank you. That’s really sweet of you. So, how long have you been planning all this?” I asked.
He took a few bites, then responded, “Ever since you told the group you’d be getting here early by yourself.
It took a little planning, and hiding my truck where you wouldn’t see it wasn’t the easiest. But, overall, I’m rather pleased with the way it went.
” Chuckling, he took another bite while slowly looking me over.
I knew he was undressing me with his forest-green eyes, and suddenly my underwear was ruined. The subtleties of this man did me in, everything from his physique to his southern drawl.
“Wait… What are we going to tell the others when they get here?” I could feel my cheeks heating up.
It was obvious to everyone in the group’s Discord server that something had developed between me and James. We didn’t disclose anything to the group because we didn’t realize how immediate our connection would be.
“Don’t worry about it. Danielle was in on the entire thing, actually. Had to make sure she didn’t decide to come up early, being your best friend and all. Only thing she doesn’t know is that she won’t be staying in the main bedroom with you.” He took a final bite of his food and began cleaning up.
“What do you mean? That was the plan,” I said, watching James wash the dishes in the sink, the veins in his tattooed forearms seeming to bulge as he scrubbed one of the pans clean.
What was it about strong men in white T-shirts doing chores that was so sexy?
“You’re right. That was the plan. Plans change, though. I’m staying in the main bedroom with you.” He answered my question, only glancing at me for the briefest of moments.
“But what will Danielle say? What will the others think?” I felt my cheeks heating up for a second time in a matter of minutes .
“I don’t give a damn what they feel or think on the matter,” he said, pausing his chore and looking over to me with those piercing emerald eyes.
“I’ve waited for this trip for so long. I’m going to spend every night fucking you till you have to stand the entire flight home.
We’re going to need that large bed for everything I’m going to do to you, Sera.
” His eyes looked me up and down once more before that dangerous smirk crossed his lips and he returned his focus to the dirty dishes.
He did it again. How could someone doing an innocent task such as washing dishes, after cooking me a nice simple breakfast, turn around and say something so filthy and so attractive in the same instance?
Just when I opened my mouth to respond, the front door opened with a thud as it hit the inner wall.
“We’re here, bitches!” a peppy female voice called out, followed by the unmistakable sounds of luggage bags rolling over and being dropped onto the hardwood floor.
Spinning on my bar stool, I caught sight of Lola, Danielle, and Jade—Brian bringing up the rear with a sheepish look on his face.
Lola was standing front and center, and despite what some would call a gothic or heavily-alternative appearance , she was clearly the source of the overly-cheery announcement.
With the all-black clothing, facial piercings, and tattoos scattered all over her body (including the front of her throat) most would likely be intimidated by Lola at first glance.
Find her off-putting. However, this five-foot-six goth bat made a beeline for me, wrapping me in a hug before I was able to do more than stand up from my seat.
Soon, the other two girls were joining in, and I was consumed by a massive group hug, the excited voices all blurring together.
“Oh my god, this is amazing!” Lola squealed.
“I can’t believe it! You’re beautiful!” Danielle chimed in.
“Let’s start drinking already!” Jade blurted out, the scent of something cinnamon already on her breath.
