Page 36 of Daring Her Vampires
“I’ll check in,” I promise, and she nods.
“Boyfriends,” I call. “Let's go home.” Micah catches my eye, and I grin. Farewells ring out as I lead the way out of the house. “I’m hungry. I would cook for you, but I’m tired. Let’s go out to eat.”
“Whatever you want, Tricks,” Luca says.
“Do you want to borrow a car?” Atlas asks, glancing at all the vehicles around the house.
“Nope. I want to fly.” I grin.
“Hop on, Little Bunny,” Atlas says, holding his arms out.
I run and jump into his arms with a squeal. Wrapping around him, I prop my chin on his shoulder, excited to fully experience flying.
Atlas takes a step, and the world blurs around us. Freedom. I’m finally free.
Holding my arms in the air, I tip my head back and yell my joy.
I’m going on a date with my boyfriends.
Chapter Nine
Atlas
Sally insisted we sit on the same side of the booth. The waitress was surprised but didn’t say anything. I can still feel Sally’s shouts of excitement in my cock. She was wiggling around, trusting the safety of my arms, and I loved it. I look down at her hand on my leg. She’s looking at the menu, whispering to Luca.
Seeing her take charge of the situation was fascinating. She is a mixture of a badass and a sensitive woman. All the sides of her personality are alluring. It was a tense situation. Her family depends on her. Elijah knew she would take care of everything. They trust her to know what to do, and she relishes the role. I could see the love and respect she has with Saylor. It was beautiful to see them together. I’ve never witnessed a birth, andit’s hard to believe they all shared the moment as if it wasn’t a big deal. She melted when she held the baby, making me want to see her with our children.
I can’t say I’ve wished for kids. Meeting Sally, I realize I can have that. We could raise children together. A picture of Sally pregnant skates through my head, and I smile. She would be stunning. It’s a dream I didn’t think I was allowed to have. For a long time, I didn’t even know having babies was possible for a vampire. I thought you had to be turned. I certainly didn’t know we could have a shifter mate.
I wonder what the baby would be like. Will it be half vampire, half shifter, like Sally will be when we bond?
“Atlas, your turn,” Sally says, and I blink. The waitress is staring at me.
“Three cheeseburgers. Three fries.”
She stares some more.
“My boyfriends are hungry.” Sally grins and passes her the menus.
“Right,” she mutters and walks away with a frown.
“She’s so confused.” Sally laughs.
“Do you care what she thinks?” I ask, and she caresses my thigh.
“Fuck no,” she says. “I stopped caring about other people's opinions a long time ago.”
“Good,” Luca states. “I’m not going to stop touching you in public.”
“Touch all you want, boyfriend.” She kisses his cheek.
“Do you want children?” I ask, and she jerks. “Shit, sorry. It was startling to see a child being born.” I don’t want to make her uncomfortable, but the point of having a date is to get to know each other.
“I do,” she answers softly. “Do you?” She stares into my eyes cautiously.
“I never thought it was possible. Being a father is tempting. We didn’t have a great example growing up.” I turn, leaning against the wall, bending my knee. “I think I would be a good father.”
“I’m glad. I didn’t think I would be able to have children. As the years passed, I gave up on the idea.” She curls her fingers over my knee and then looks at my brother. “Luca, what about you?”
