I’ve never really enjoyed taking my clothes off in front of a guy.

Until now.

When I peel everything off and drop it to the floor, I flush as I stand there in front of him totally naked and exposed in this newly intimate way. My hands in two fists, I drop my arms my sides. Then I change my mind and cross them over my chest.

Kir’s eyes drag over me. Again, it doesn’t feel prying or icky or lecherous.

It just feels…warm.

He turns and nods his chin at the steaming tub. “In.”

I gasp quietly as I step into the hot, sudsy water and slowly lower myself into the tub.Fuck, that feels good. I sit with the water up to my collarbones, bubbles filling my field of vision as I hug my knees to my chest.

He drags a stool over and settles down on it, a little to my left and behind me.

“Tip back.”

Before I can say anything, his firm hands drop to either side of my head, his long fingers lacing over my scalp and gently pulling until I’m looking at the ceiling.

“What—”

I exhale with a halting gasp when he pours water over the back of my hair. His fingers follow, combing through my blonde strands as he pours another cup of water over me.

I hear the pop of a bottle opening, and it hits me.

He’s washing my hair.

“Are you hurt anywhere,” he growls quietly, lathering the shampoo in with firm but gentle motions.

I shake my head.

“Did that motherfucker?—”

“No,” I choke quietly, shaking my head again. “No. He tried, but he couldn’t before you…”

Saved me. Slayed the dragon and carried me away on horseback.

Kir rinses the shampoo from my hair, then conditions it, before rinsing that out as well. When he’s done running his fingers through my clean hair, he stands beside me with a towel, which he wraps around me when I step out of the tub.

My heart races as he casually lifts me again and carries me back into the bedroom. Heat throbs in my core as he sits me on the foot of the bed and crouches down in front of me.

I slowly shake my head, staring at him, lost in those dark devil eyes.

“I—I don’t know?—”

The world goes sideways and my words shatter like glass when he cups my jaw, crushing his lips to mine in a fierce, powerful kiss that melts me to my core.

I come undone, my limbs loosening, fire swelling and surging inside me as he kisses me roughly and possessively, like he’s laying claim to me.

Conquering me.

Devouring me whole.

I moan as our tongues swirl together, and when he tugs the towel open and lets it fall around me, need pulses and roars inside me.

Kir’s palms land on my legs, and my pulse jumps though the fucking roof as he slowly pushes, spreading them apart. His tongue dances with mine, teeth nibbling and biting my lips just enough to make my adrenaline spike as his hands splay around my hips, his thumbs rubbing along the creases where my thighs meet my sex.

“You’re going to be staying here now,” he murmurs, his mouth sliding from my panting lips to my jawline, trailing licks, nibbles, and kisses down my neck. I gasp, my back arching as his mouth slides over to my ear. His teeth rake over the lobe, sucking it between his lips as his deep voice burns right into my soul.
