Page 98 of Dance of Devils
I’ve never once been kissed like this, by anyone. I honestly can’t evenrememberother kisses now. Every time he tries to pull back, I just hold him even tighter, leaning into him, until I’m practically falling off the bed and into his lap while he kneels on the floor in front of me.
Eventually, we reluctantly break apart. Kir’s dark eyes have ignited with a wildness I’m not sure I’ve ever seen in them—cold, yet heated. Explosive, yet utterly focused.
On me.Me.
“What… What happens now?”
I’m twenty-three years old. I doknowwhat happens after two adults pull away from kissing each other on top of a bed.
But he also just told me a minute ago thatthatisn’t happening right now, because I’m still in shock after what happened in Lou’s office.
…He might be right, actually.
Even if I am, I don’t think I would have a problem having sex withthisman right now—or ever. The only man to have ever made me orgasm.
And that was just withtwo fucking fingers.
Imagine what he could do with…
I flush, shamelessly letting my eyes roam over him. Kir lifts a brow, smirking as if reading my thoughts.
“First, babygirl…” he growls.
Babygirl.
If anyone else called me that, it would feel infantilizing. When Kir does it, it makes me want to melt into a puddle or jump on top of him. Maybe both.
“First,” he says, “you’re going to sit right there again. Don’t. Move.”
Have I mentioned how outrageously hot it is when he gives me orders?
“Okay,” I say, my body buzzing as he slowly stands. He walks across the bedroom into the ensuite bathroom, and a few seconds later, I hear water running.
Is he…taking a shower?
My question is answered a minute later when he walks out, rolling the sleeves of his dress shirt up his muscled forearms in this obscenely sexy way. He stops in front of me and reaches down to take my hand.
“Come.”
Kir leads me into a beautifully elegant white tile bathroom. My eyes immediately spot the huge clawfoot tub filling with steaming hot water and sudsy bubbles.
“You can takethatoff,” he growls, nodding at my clothes. For the first time since he barged into Lou’s office, I suddenly realize that I’m still wearing the ridiculous schoolgirl outfit. I whip my head around to look into one of the huge floor-length mirrors, and I cringe.
Fucking hell, I’ve even still got the ponytails in.
I quickly take them out, shaking my hair loose before something occurs to me.
“My phone…” I frown. “I… I think I left it in the dressing room?—”
“I’ll have someone go get it, and anything else you may have there.” He levels his gaze at me. “You’re never going back to that place. Ever.”
I flush, nodding. “When they go, can they also please tell the other girls that I’m okay? Maya, in particular?”
He nods. “Done.” He turns and shuts off the water before glancing back at me. “For now, though, you need to take those off and get in here.”
For a second, I hesitate. Obviously, undressing in front of a man isn’t exactly a new concept for me. But with it being him andjusthim, it feels strangely intimate in a way I’ve never felt before.
The feeling only grows stronger when I realize he’s making no move to look away, or leave the room. Kir leans against the vanity, ankles crossed, hands in his trouser pockets. He watches—not lecherously, not hungrily, but almost like he’s wanting to make sure that nothing somehowhappensto me when I do it.
