Watcher

W hat’s this? Trouble in paradise? Not that I’m surprised. They were two people who were thrown together by circumstances. He was injured; she is a nurse. Any other time, they would not have been able to stand being in the same room together. The moment I saw him with her, I recognized him.

An innocent with a murderer?

But it seems the jig is up, thanks to a perfectly timed confrontation. I’d like to take the credit for Mateo’s arrival, but I cannot. I never called him, never planned on a showdown at the hospital. But here we are.

They are still standing there posturing like peacocks while Nikki ran away like a scared little butterfly.

I shouldn’t be surprised she didn’t know who he really was, and yet, I’m a little surprised.

The look on her face when it all clicked into place made me want to reach down and run my hand over my dick.

I take great pleasure in someone else’s pain.

I almost ran after her, but I stayed back. The time of reckoning is not yet here. I need to wait for permission before I do anything. It’s coming, and I am salivating, waiting on the moment my leash is removed, and I have been set free. Until then, I might need some popcorn.

Alex finally runs after Nikki, leaving Mateo standing there dumbstruck, like he can’t believe anyone would do that to him. He’s a bit arrogant and full of himself, but then again, I can say the same thing about Alex.

All the pieces are falling into place. The king will soon fall, the queen will be removed from play, and the pawns will burn.

With one last look at the door, I turn around and meander down the hall. Soon. I won’t have to wait much longer.

That night, the call comes in. “Take them tomorrow. The room is ready.”

“Consider it done.”
