His lips trail down my neck. He mumbles, "Even your neck is gorgeous."

All I can do is tremble in his arms, and grasp him tighter, as pleasure escalates. I'm not able to think, and maybe it's a good thing, because all I've done for so many years is have time to analyze and worry. Ryker makes me feel, and when he talks, he's sincere and I believe him.

"So good, baby."

"Yes," I pant.

"It's been so long since I felt half this good," he murmurs next to my lips. And in his eyes, there's an honesty and rawness I've never seen in a man before. It's vulnerable and real and it allows me to drop my guard even more.

"Me, too," I admit.

His lips consume me again and between kisses he says, "You're the most stunning creature I've ever laid eyes on."

Every word that comes out of his mouth pulls me out of my self-loathing a little more. Maybe I'm vain, but I haven't had a man compliment or want me since before I found out about my sister and Miguel. And the last few years I was with Miguel, I could feel something was off. It's like deep down I knew he had someone else, but I didn't want to believe or explore it. And I convinced myself no man would ever want to touch me again with Jonas's initials branded on my back, and especially not anyone near Ryker's caliber.

His mouth moves to my ear. "You're smart, sexy, and so damn irresistible."

"That's you," I whimper as another wave of endorphins crashes through my body.

"No, baby. It's you." He thrusts faster, and when he detonates, it's like a bomb going off, and it stretches my walls into another high.

In our aftermath, I'm limp but still digging my nails into his back. His warm breath tickles my shoulder. Our limbs stay pretzeled together.

"I have to get the eggs."

He lifts his head, reaches for the skillet, and maneuvers the food around the pan. He turns the heat up.

"I thought I was supposed to be making you food."

He says nothing and aggressively palms my head and kisses me again.

"Are you always like this?" I murmur.

"Like what?" He rolls his tongue against mine.

"A sex god."

Amusement crosses his face. "Did you just call me a sex god?"

"Mm-hmm."

His lips twitch. "Then you're my sexy goddess."

I snort.

"It's true. Sex gods only perform for sexy goddesses. And you are the sexiest." He kisses my neck.

I glance at the pan then push on his rock-hard pecs. "The eggs are going to be gross."

"No, they won't."

I tap his chest. "Let me make your food."

He pecks my lips and releases me.

I finish the eggs and put them on his plate with some fruit. "Oh, no. I forgot to put the bacon on."

"I did distract you." He winks, and my insides turn to Jell-O.
