I’m not concerned.
Neither are Tieran or Volt.
But our little Omega needs to understand that she’s ours, that we’re going to claim her even if her mixed heritage proves to be an issue.
Which I strongly suspect it won’t.
“Volt’s in the kitchen making something spicy,” I say when she doesn’t respond to my question about dinner. “He started cooking when we sensed you waking up, and Tieran is off working on his plan for damage control. So I’m in charge of taking care of you. Now, do you want to play with my knot? Or would you prefer to eat first?”
She blinks at me, her cheeks blossoming with color. It’s an adorably innocent expression considering what happened earlier today.
But that blush tells me her preference.
“Knot it is,” I murmur, smiling.
She doesn’t just need a distraction, she needs an unspoken vow.
Sometimes it’s not about words, but actions. She can question her lineage all she wants. Her wolf will prove her wrong.
I press my lips to hers, coaxing her to open up for me with a gentle stroke of my tongue.
She does.
Because she’s an Omega craving her Alpha’s touch.
Clove wants my strength and reassurance. The sweet little wolf has been fighting alone all week and I’m telling her with my mouth that she’s no longer on her own.
She has me. She has Tieran. She has Volt.
We won’t let her down.
We won’t give up on her.
We will protect her until the end.
You're ours now,I’m telling her with my mouth. And we will wait for as long as it takes for you to understand what that means.
A soft shudder rolls through her, making me purr. I love her reactions. They’re so potent and addictive. I want to taste her, to lick every inch of her body and feel her come against my tongue.
But I also want her to be confident.
I want her to recognize her place is here with us.
Time doesn’t matter.
Our wolves know their mates and her soul calls to mine; it calls to us all. I felt it during her initial heat, that demand to take her and make her ours. It wasn’t just from my animal’s desire to rut, it was a yearning that came from my wolf’s spirit.
This female sets all my blood on fire.
And I would be a fool to ignore that reaction.
Her palms meet my shoulders, not to push me away, but to explore.
I grin again, allowing her to pet me to her heart’s content while I continue to kiss her softly with just a little bit of tongue.
She’s sore. She’s still tired. She’s confused.
So I won’t push.
