He focused on being gentle and loving on the outside, and blaring a siren through our bond to announce how much he wanted to fuck on the inside.

He kept me distracted by asking questions. And each story I told him led to another story, and there was so much I hadn’t been able to share with anyone since I’d presented, both about being a beta and an omega.

I gasped as perfume flew from me, but he didn’t bite. He held himself there like he was hoping to leave a bruise.

“I want to see how this goes for us first.”

I had to tell myself to calm down. I shouldn’t get ahead of myself. No matter how exciting it was that he invited me to stay in his nest, I didn’t know what was going to happen in the future. The more expectations I had, the easier it would be for my heart to break.

“I built this bed up so it’s perfect for fucking in,” he said as he kissed a line up to my neck, his voice taking on a low lilt that had a tremor running through me.

He threw the brush away and it bounced off of a pillow before his fingers quickly skimmed along my waist. He pulled me to his chest, placing another mock bite on my shoulder.

“You did make me a promise, after all,” I sighed, relaxing into him. Maybe he was finally going to give me what I wanted.

“I wouldn’t say it was a promise,” he hummed as he tugged on my earlobe. “It’s a demand. If you’re moving into my nest, I’m going to require certain things of you,Brandy.”

His fingers danced over the curve of my stomach, pausing over my scar.

I almost flinched back, scared he was going to ask about it. Even though we’d spent hours talking, I wasn’t ready to go that far.

But he continued the journey down.

“And one of those things is right here,” he laughed as his fingers plunged between my spread legs and found my pussy.
