I chuckle. “It’s okay, baby. I’ll find out for myself in just a few.”

Rosie leans against the mirrored wall opposite me,her dark eyes playfully taunting.

I take a slow step toward her.

She bites her lip.

Another step closer.

Her eyes sparkle with challenge.

Rosie loves this little battle of wills—taunting, teasing each other, to see who bends first—and I usually enjoy it, too. But tonight, I don’t have the patience. I need to get my hands and mouth on her pronto.

I cage her in with my body, ignoring the few other people in this elevator. I know we’re drawing attention, but I don’t give one flying fuck at the moment. Her breath hitches as I take one last step, our bodies nearly flush with one another.

“You get off on teasing me, baby?” I growl into her ear.

Her lashes flutter. “What if I do?”

I trace a finger down her side and over the curve of her hip, not missing the resulting shiver. She inhales sharply, seemingly swallowing a gasp.

Ding.

I give her a wicked smile. “You’re about to find out.”

I take Rosie’s hand as the doors open onto her floor, guiding her down the hall. I type the access code she gave me into the keypad, turning the knob when it beeps. The moment we’re inside her apartment, I push her against the door, locking it.

“You wanna play, Rosie?”

“God, yes,” she says on a moan.

She releases a breathless little gasp when my lips press against hers, wrapping her arms around my neck and pulling me closer. I kiss her hard, any and all of the restraint I’d been clinging to gone. Her fingers wind through my hair, pulling on the longer strands until there’s a bite of pain. Fuck, I love it when she does that.

“You’re not going to even ask what kind of play?” I lift her arms, peeling off her thin sweater in one go.

She groans as I palm her lace-covered breasts, licking and biting her nipples through the flimsy material. “Don’t care. Do whatever you want to me.”

This girl.

The trust she has in me—giving me full domain over her body—is humbling. It’s a privilege I’ll cherish and make damn sure I continue to earn.

I kiss along her jaw, down the graceful column of her throat, skimming my fingers just beneath the waistline of her jeans.

“These need to go,” I warn, right before I pop the button and yank them down.

Rosie kicks out of her shoes while I help remove the remaining denim from her legs. Once she’s down to her black bra and panties, I grab onto her hips and lift. She doesn’t hesitate for a second,wrapping her shapely legs around my waist, crossing her ankles behind me.

I carry her through the apartment, our mouths never parting as we head into the bedroom. I groan as Rosie’s nails score into the back of my neck, setting her down onto the mattress. As she lies there, with flushed cheeks, chest heaving, I take a moment to appreciate the view.

So fucking beautiful.

And so fuckingmine.

“I have a surprise for you. But there are some things I need to do first.”

She sits up on her elbows. “What kind of surprise? And what kinds of things?”

My lips curve into a slow, devious smile. “First, I’m going to punish you for being such a tease.”
