“Suck it up, or call the whole thing off,” I shot back.
“Promise to scratch me with those claws later?”
My eye roll was audible. “We can talk about sexifI survive this.”
“Deal.” Enzo patted the outside of my thigh before the engine roared to life, andholy shit, those vibrations right against my core had me moaning. My husband’s smug voice sounded in my ear. “Look at you enjoying this already.”
“At this rate, your bike’s going to get me off before you do.” My hips shifted restlessly.
The bastard chuckled. “I’m gonna give you a count so you’re not caught off guard. I’m going to shove off in three, two, one.”
My breath froze in my lungs, my heart racing a million miles an hour as we rolled down the driveway, balancing on only two wheels. I had to remind myself to lean with him as we turned onto our street, and when he hit the gas, I let out a shriek.
Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. This is how I’m going to die. I know it.
“Allie, breathe, or else you’re going to pass out,” Enzo coached.
Fuck, he was right.
Dragging in a few shaky, shallow inhales, I rasped, “I’m okay.”
Biggest lie you’ve ever told.
Hanging on to Enzo as we weaved and bobbed through the traffic on the freeway, I could have sworn my entire life flashed before my eyes. And when he reached back to grip my leg, in what he thought was a comforting gesture, I about damn near lost my mind.
“Two hands!” I screamed, but he didn’t listen; instead, he squeezed my thigh, and damn if that didn’t make my blood heat.
Eventually, after what felt like hours, we turned off at an exit, driving down a two-lane road lined with tall trees, but I was so focused on keepingmy balance that I couldn’t appreciate the scenery. When we came to a stop and the engine cut out, relief crashed over me like a tidal wave. Now all that was left was to survive the trip back home, and I never had to do this again. Once was enough.
Wuss.
Call me all the names you want; at least I’ll be alive to hear them.
Live a little. You’re married to this tattooed, pierced, hot-as-fuck man. How long do you think he’s going to tolerate being saddled with Little Miss Always Plays It Safe?
I think we’ve already established that we’re polar opposites, but we love each other anyway.
Silencing the angel and devil on my shoulders, I removed my helmet, looking around to find we’d parked atop a scenic overlook, the sunset coloring the horizon in shades of pink and purple.
“Where are we?”
Enzo twisted his head around to smile at me. “My secret spot, which just happens to be my second favorite place on earth.”
“It’s beautiful,” I remarked. “But if this is your second favorite, what’s the first?”
My husband’s pierced tongue darted out to moisten his lower lip. “Being buried deep inside your tight, wet cunt.”
Mouth going dry, I was suddenly acutely aware of the fact that I was wearing entirely too much leather—a fabric that didn’t breathe well—because I was sweating.
Enzo’s gloved hand found the side of my neck, his thumb tracing maddening circles over my sensitive skin. “What’s the matter, baby? You hot?”
That was putting it mildly. I was on the verge of combustion after having the equivalent of a low-volume vibrator pressed flush against my core forhowever long we’d been driving. Right now, a strong breeze would be enough to make me come.
“Something like that,” I panted.
Tapping the outside of my thigh, he commanded, “Hop off.”
I dropped my forehead to the middle of his back, my eyes sliding shut as I forced myself to breathe, which seemed almost impossible with the thick cloud of lust surrounding us. “Give me a minute.”
