CHAPTER 134
GODDAMN SUPERNOVA
DEX
S he did it.
She finally fucking did it.
Disposed of that moron.
Margaux’s fire had been flickering in the background for months, threatening to fade completely, but now, it’s blazing .
Filing the TRO—and insisting it be served—proves that.
When I see her return with signed paperwork, and then watch as it’s served, I feel an odd surge of pride.
Not that she needs my validation, but damn it, she deserves someone in her corner.
I send a message:
Anonymous:
You did it. You got him out.
Her relief is palpable, even over the camera audio. “I did,” she whispers. “God, I actually did.”
And yet, even as I admire her resolve, I can’t shake the gnawing unease. Timmy isn’t the type to bow out gracefully— guys like him never quit anything but their jobs, the gym, or positive contributions to society.
He’s almost certain to push boundaries, test limits, and attempt to worm his way back into her life if he thinks he can get away with it.
And Margaux? She’ll have to fend him off, over and over again.
It doesn’t take long for my fears to be confirmed.
I watch with horror from afar as he violates the TRO the day it’s served, entering her apartment in the wee hours of the morning, sneaking in uninvited, claiming the meth heads are after him.
Classic Timmy—spinning tales of victimhood to wriggle out of accountability.
But Margaux doesn’t fall for it this time. She calls 911 again, her voice steady despite the fear I knew she feels.
The police officers who served the TRO earlier were very clear he wasn’t to return, and the audacity of Timmy’s actions are staggering. The man’s disregard for boundaries isn’t just infuriating—it’s dangerous and scary.
That’s the thing about Margaux—even when she’s scared, she’s unflinching. Resilient. Stronger than she realizes. Watching her fight for herself, for her safety, has been humbling in a way I can’t fully articulate.
I’m ready to jump through the screen, yet helpless. I should have flown over sooner, just in case. This last thread of their relationship just snapped so quickly—I thought I had more time.
Through the days that follow, Margaux holds firm. She calls the police every time he breaches the TRO. She documents everything—even the text-based violations. She doesn’t let him manipulate her into backing down.
And when he tries to weasel his way into her apartment, claiming he needs essentials, she stands her ground.
When Steve the Horse Cop reaches out, pretending he’s not acting on behalf of Timmy—yeah right—she does the same.
“Essentials?” I mutter to myself as I watch the scene unfold. “You mean the tattered clothes, peed-on mattress, and the broken surfboard you haven’t used in years? Fuck off, Timmy.” I roll my eyes.
Timmy’s antics might be exhausting, but they’re also revealing. He’s a black hole, sucking in the light and joy of everyone around him.
And Margaux? She’s a goddamn supernova, burning brighter every day she distances herself from him.
So let Last-Choice Lisa have him. They’re perfect for each other—two miserable, toxic messes destined to implode. Meanwhile, Margaux will be here, shining like the unstoppable force she is.
And me?
I’ll be here too, marveling at her strength, ready to step in and be there for her the way she deserves.
