I spin around and shove his chest. “I do not care what you think!”

His face sets in a deadly snarl as he slowly rakes his eyes over me. Eyes so dark, they could be black.

He tilts his head a fraction to the side. “You sure about that answer, my pretty little rabbit?” His voice is low and rough, his lips remaining parted on the last word like he’s breathing through his mouth.

I hesitate.

Hating myself, I reach behind me to draw down the zipper.

But I am not fast enough.

My bare shoulders slam into the cool mirror as Cole pins me against it with his body. He grabs the two halves of the back of the dress and rips them apart.

“Stop!” I yelp. “You are ruining it!”

“That’s the fucking point, girl,” he growls.

He wrenches down the front of the dress, exposing my body all the way to my navel, but his eyes are locked onto mine.

He grabs my jaw, forcing my head back against the glass. When he drops his head, his hot breath warms my face.

“You did that on purpose, didn’t you?” he says as he stares into my eyes. “Thought you could distract me with your curvy little body. Take advantage of the fact that I can’t fucking think straight when you’re around.”

“What? No! I never—”

His fingers grip tighter, silencing me.

“Do you like it when I punish you, Mika?”

He lets the question lie there forever, not speaking, not moving, waiting for my answer.

As my brain scrambles for the correct response, I feel something harden against my belly.

He’s wearing a suit. The fabric is almost as smooth as the dress hanging around my hips like a candy wrapper.
