A HARD TRUTH

“Hassel!” Raptor bellowed. “Hass, you’ll never believe what I just did!”

His butler popped out from behind the living room couch, looking shifty. “What did you just do?”

Raptor eyed him suspiciously. In the centuries they had known each other, Hassel had rarely hidden things from him. Unless he knew they would make Raptor mad.

But right now, Raptor’s own news was more important. “I got someone to sign the contract! And I might even get a baby out of it!”

Hassel’s eyebrows shot up. “Oh?” He reached out expectantly, fingers wriggling. “Who’s the sucker?”

“Not a sucker! Walren. Remember him?” Raptor handed over the signed contract for safekeeping.

“Ohh. The omega who ran off after you gallantly flew him to the hospital?”

“Yeah! Although he had his reasons,” Raptor said defensively. “He threw up on me, after being kidnapped for a long time. Poor pumpkin took one look at the mess, made a sad animal sound, and charged off. I won’t hold it against him.”

Hassel clutched his chest. “Aww, how sweet!” Then he looked around. “You didn’t bring him back with you? The contract is effective immediately.”

“He wanted to pack up his things at the safe house.” Raptor rubbed his own chest. “Not that I think he has very much there, but he seemed nervous. I thought I would give him some hours to calm down. Besides, we need to get ready.”

“For what?”

“ He has a baby, ” Raptor whispered loudly. “Do you think I can get his baby to like me?”

Hassel’s eyes gleamed. “Ah-ha. Two for the price of one?”

Raptor’s grin was all sharp teeth. “ More for the price of one.”

“Oh?”

“Maybe I can put more than one inside him.” Raptor licked his lips. “Ace and his mate just had twins. If my twin has twins, what are the chances that my omega will, too?”

“He’s not your omega,” Hassel pointed out.

“ Yet. ” Raptor hefted his bulge and remembered the way Walren had shuddered in his arms, his pupils blown, his head tipped back to expose his neck. Walren had begged for him, his voice ragged, and his hole had been drenched when Raptor touched it.

Walren wasn’t even in heat yet.

“He has proven that he’s extremely eager to take me during my ruts,” Raptor purred.

The way Walren had looked at his cock... He had touched Raptor’s knot, and his entire face had flushed, his mouth falling open.

Walren Fleetfoot. Gray eyes, auburn hair. An amazing grassy scent threaded with poppy, mixing beautifully with Raptor’s own scent. He was small and he fit perfectly in Raptor’s arms.

For the next six months, Raptor would get to have him. As often as he liked, as hard as he liked.

Raptor tipped his head back and breathed a long stream of fire at the high ceiling. “If I could, I would have him impaled on me 24/7. Knotted on me wherever I go.”

“Hmm. That is all well and good, but... Chef Master?” Hassel looked a little worried.

“What is it?” Raptor paused in the middle of his happy dance.

“Your... decorations.” Hassel waved at their surroundings.

Raptor was extremely proud of his hoard.

He had amassed a lot of cocks—silicone dildos, carved wooden ones, precious jade artifacts from across the world.

Large and small, cocks lined his home: in a row on the mantle, dangling from his chandeliers, suctioned to his mirrors and windowpanes.

Hell, even the fridge had some sticking on the doors, and his housekeeper always complained about them poking her in the eye.

“Walren has a baby, ” Hassel whispered urgently.

They stared at each other for a moment.

“Crap,” Raptor said, looking back at the sheer number of dicks around them.

“There has to be a thousand peens on your property,” Hassel said.

Raptor couldn’t possibly just... throw them out. What if Walren didn’t stick around after the contract was over? Raptor didn’t want to discard his hoard, only to have nothing left of it by the end of six months.

“You don’t have to throw them out,” Hassel said. “You just have to... disguise them.”

“With what? Sock puppets?”

They stared at each other again, the hard truth sinking in.

“You will acquire however many I need,” Raptor ordered, suddenly thankful that he had dropped Walren off at the safe house. “And we will make this place baby-safe.”
