Page 13 of A Million Times, Yes
Her arms dropped from her chest, falling to her sides. “What if I said right now?”
“You’re going to let me have you?” I paused. “Right this second?”
“Yes.”
I didn’t touch her, but fuck, I was tempted. I just didn’t want to influence her when I said, “You’re sure?”
Maya seemed more like the type who, before she spread her legs for any man, needed the commitment of a relationship. I wasn’t giving her that. Shit, I didn’t even know how to do that.
“If you’re going to do to me what you’ve said, then there’s no better way to escape my thoughts than getting lost in you.”
Words that made my dick even harder.
“How close do you live from here?” I inquired.
She looked around as though she needed to remind herself where she was. “I don’t know. About a mile, and all three of my roommates are home.” She laughed. “We’d have to be extra quiet—the walls are paper thin.”
I wouldn’t take her to my place. The questions would start once I brought her through my private entrance and up to my penthouse in the clouds. I preferred her knowing this side of me, not the side the public knew.
I didn’t have my wallet. Fuck, I didn’t even have my phone.
Where can I take her?
Where can I take her—
I reached for her fingers, and once her small hand was clasped within my large one, I took my first step. “Come with me.”
I kept the jog light—we weren’t going very far—and I weaved us around several benches and across a long bridge. At the end, I led us down a slim, narrow ladderlike structure that brought us to the dark underbelly of the bridge.
The few times I’d run in this area, I’d been the only one down here. I didn’t know whether people weren’t aware of the spot, or maybe it was too early to attract anyone. Whatever the case was, I needed to be fast—something I wasn’t good at. And we needed to be quiet—something I fucking hated.
Since the sun hadn’t fully risen, I brought her into a shadowy corner and positioned her back against one of the steel walls that supported the bridge.
She glanced at the peak over our heads and at the path behind me that passed in both directions. “Out of all places, this is where you picked?” Her smile hadn’t dimmed at all.
“I would have brought you into the park if I thought we would have more privacy there. But a couple of hedges aren’t going to block our bodies, and the open air is only going to make your voice carry, especially with how hard I plan to fuck you.” When I’d escorted her to the metal wall, my hands had been on her waist. They stayed there, my fingers separating to touch more. “Maya, now’s the time to back out if you’re going to.”
“Why would I want to do that?”
“Because I’m about to pull down your shorts and lift you into my arms and fuck you against this wall. Right in public, where anyone walking by can see.”
She let out a small laugh. “Sounds like everything I’ve been dreaming of.”
“Tell me”—I moved in closer so there was hardly anything separating our bodies—“do those dreams involve me?”
“They have, yes.”
“And what do you think about?” I leaned in to her neck, needing to taste her skin before her lips. “Do you touch yourself while you’re having them?”
“Sometimes.”
“Show me where.”
Her hand moved between us and lowered. I watched the placement while I breathed her in, a scent that was a mix of green apple and lime.
I liked her smell.
I liked it way too fucking much.
