“My name is Alessandro, slutty little elf.”
Her laughter died as he gripped her hips and slammed into her with more force than he’d been using before. Her dazed, lavender eyes glanced back at him over her shoulder.
“Alessandro.”
In the mystic world, names had power. His instruction for her to use his had a meaning he refused to acknowledge.
He emptied himself inside of her so many times he lost count, and by the time the succubus had worn herself out, she’d fallen asleep with him still inside of her. It took another hour for him to convince himself what had happened had been a mistake, for she was glowing with his celestial energy, covered in endless love bites and bruises, and he could swear there had never been a more beautiful sight.
Her powers had done their job and ensnared him.
He cursed and sent her away before he did something that he would regret even more.
Chapter 5
“Fuck.” Rowan shot up in her bed as a surge of magic slapped her.
Cursing, she phased out of her cabin to a high-rise condo in the heart of Black Cove. A high-pitched scream and a blast of air threw her into the cabinets.
She cursed and glared at the two figures eating breakfast on the island.
“Master Jah.Youshould know better than to cast without verification.”
“What the hell have you done with all of your charms?” The giant witch moved at a speed that didn’t match his size to help her up.
She hissed. “I took a bite out of something bigger than I could chew.”
The blonde woman who had remained at the counter giggled as Japhet took back his hand and promptly dropped her back into the pile of wood that used to be cabinets.
“Every day I know you is another day I am grateful for a daughter like Chloe.”
“Lovely.” Rowan whimpered, checking her new wounds. It was in trying to identify them that she realized the extent of damage her previous night had left her with.
Love bites marked her from head to foot. Her knees, palms, back, and the swell of her ass were scraped. Bruises bloomed from her wrists, forearms and ankles.
Chloe’s fork clattered on the counter as she realized how hurt her friend was at the same time. “Rowan Dahl, who hurt you?”
“You smell…familiar. What exactly did you get yourself entangled with?” Master Jah asked as he conjured an oversized tee shirt for her privacy as he began casting healing charms to speed up her recovery. “You look like you just lost a fight to a giant squid.”
“There was more pleasure than pain.” Rowan ignored the warning noise that escaped Master Japhet. “Actually, you won’t believe who it was.”
“Who?” Chloe’s face gained more and more disbelief as she turned her friend around to examine all of her bruises when Master Jah turned his attention to fixing the cabinets.
In her many years of feeding her succubus, no partner had been as satisfying as he had been. She’d never expected to fall asleep in the middle of a rut, nor had she ever been so unhinged and out of control. Never had she been so utterly full of energy she wasn’t sure she’d ever need to eat again.
“Um, Rowan, do you want to talk about it?”
Rowan snapped her attention to the floating blonde. She looked amused. Master Jah, who the spell had also caught, floated in the background, irritation clear on his eyebrow.
“Sorry, I’m not used to having to put thought into controlling it.” She recollected her excess energy as gently as possible and set the two witches on the couches.
“Even if the witches let you off the hook with recruitment, it is no permission to be sloppy with your magic. You still have a secret to maintain, Rowan.” Master Jah scowled.
“I know.” Rowan sighed as she swiped a piece of toast off an abandoned plate on the counter. “I just didn’t expect the Dragon King to amp me up this much, okay? Though I should have, the dude’s a freaking god walking amongst us lowly mortals.”
“What?”The roar from Master Japhet startled both women in the room.
Chloe placed a calming hand on his forearm. “What’s wrong?”
