Story: Code Name: Typhon
Typhon’s lip curled. “Bloody Americans.”
I nudged him and looked over at Pen.
“My apologies, Penelope. Present company excluded, of course.”
“Don’t take it personally. Typhon doesn’t like anyone,” I said as we walked out arm in arm.
“I beg to differ. I like you very much,” he said, walking up and putting his arm around my waist.
By the time we reached my building, Levi seemed more like himself.
“You probably have questions,” he said once we were inside the apartment.
The last thing I wanted to do was argue with him the night before our wedding, but his behavior was so unusual. “I’m not sure what to say.”
He took my hand, led me to the sofa, and pulled me onto his lap. “Brand Ripa is in way over his head by no fault of his own. In the next few months, he’ll be going undercover in an Italian crime syndicate. I’ve done my best to persuade the coalition commander to abandon the mission, but she won’t relent.”
I sat in stunned silence.
“The person I am with you, El, is not the person I can be when I’m working. Brand will be forced to follow my orders as he would any other CO. Except I’m far meaner.”
I looked up at him, and he winked.
“It’s for a reason. What I lead anyone who reports to me into is the most dangerous situation they’ll ever be in. It’s up to me to keep them alive. In order for me to do that, they have to believe I’m badass enough to do it and, also, fear me as much as they do the people we’re up against.”
“Without divulging anything she shouldn’t have, Kima did fill me in on your professional persona.”
“Ah, yes, the angry bear.”
I wriggled my bottom against his hardness. “I’ll admit it was a little hot.”
He raised a brow, then shifted so he could cup between my legs. “Are you wet for me, my love?”
I nuzzled his neck, longing to be filled. “Always, Levi.”
He stood with me in his arms and carried me into the bedroom. “I thought maybe you’d want to wait for our wedding night.”
“Um, do you?”
“Waiting another five minutes would be too long for me, my love.”
Even with our bodies separated by layers of clothing, I arched against him, desperate for the release only Levi could give me.
He kissed me in that hard, demanding way that made me frantic for more. I snaked my hands between us, wanting to pull my clothes from my body and to be naked under him, to feel his touch on my bare skin.
His growl vibrated through to my core. “Put your hands over your head, Eliza.”
I did, gripping the slats of the headboard, arching and writhing, wishing I could have everything at once, his kiss, his lips, and his tongue torturing my nipples before moving to my pussy, where the torture would continue. He’d keep me on the edge, not allowing me to orgasm until he was deep inside me.
Any attempt at rushing him only made him prolong the mad need I had for him.
He unfastened the buttons of my blouse, then released the front clasp of my bra. He softly bit each of my nipples, then teased me with featherlight kisses.
My eyes met his deep, dark pools of unbridled desire.
When Levi eased away from me, I whimpered.
“Soon, my love,” he promised.
