Jett licked his lips. “What if he slates the club, gives it a really bad review because I refused to go home with him.”
“I wouldn’t care.”
Jett’s eyebrows twitched. “But I would.”
“Look, you don’t need celebrities to make this place a success. It already is because of you—”
“But—”
“And are you forgetting what I told you? I’m a bad man, a very bad man, and if he dares talk shit about you, or this club, he’s in trouble. In fact, I’m gonna go downstairs right now.”
“No, don’t.”
“Trust me, Jett. Where’s my clothes?”
“Just there,” he said, pointing to the pile.
Aaron grabbed his socks. “I’m thirsty, gonna get us a beer too while I’m down there.”
“Don’t do anything to Marlon.”
“I won’t, not even gonna touch the guy. I swear. You wait here.”
Aaron hurried into his clothes. He didn’t bother trying to smarten himself up. In fact, he wanted it to look obvious he’d been having sex. He wrapped his jacket around Jett’s shoulders, and he clutched onto the lapels.
“God you look hot,” Aaron murmured.
“You’re not so bad yourself, although I prefer you out of the clothes.”
“I’ll take them off when I come back up.”
“Can I put mine on?”
“Definitely not.”
Aaron wrapped his arms around Jett, picked him up, then carried him to the couch.
“Sit right there, I don’t want you stepping on glass— and stay looking like that.”
“Like what?”
Aaron gestured to him. “That, stay looking like that. All wrecked and beautiful.”
He gave Jett a peck on the lips, told him to stay put again, then rushed out of the office.
Marlon was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. He took in Aaron’s appearance, disheveled and unordered, and wrinkled his nose.
“Jett’s been a long time.”
“Oh, he’s resting.”
“Resting?”
“After I just fucked his brains out.” Aaron folded his arms, then glared at Marlon, a dangerous glare that he couldn’t look away from.
“And if you slate this club, or Jett for not sleeping with you, I’ll make sure you pay. I’m not like Jett. I’m not a nice guy, I’m the worst kind of guy you could imagine.” He flexed his hand, showing off his bruises. “Don’t give me reason to hunt you down.”
Marlon backed off, shaking his head. “You threatening me?”
“I wouldn’t care.”
